HOUSTON MOSQUITO CONTROL SYSTEMS

I had Houston Mosquito Control Systems/Mostex Pest Control to service my MistAway insect control system. Mostex re-started the system after winter. They did not clean the tank or filter. The system worked for one week and stopped misting. They came back to service the system, supposedly cleaned the filter and according to the service sheet, the system was empty, and they filled to 100%. They left, but the system would not spray anything for several days. I checked the system, and it was on the off position. I turned to auto and the system started spraying normally. There was only one major problem with the service sheet. The drum was full before they serviced the system because it had only sprayed for 1 week. I opened the drum and it was filled to 95%. Mostex Pest Control is a crooked company that does not maintain the Mistaway mosquito control system and lies on the service sheets to collect a full tank refill when it was already actually full. I called Mistaway company to complain about Mostex Pest Control. Mistaway said they will add to the long list of complaints against Mostex Pest Control, and that Mostex was not an approved dealer, and would never become an approved dealer because of the long list of complaints. MistAway rates dealers as Diamond, Gold, Silver, etc. There were several Diamond rated companies in my service area and the price was actually lower than Mostex Pest Control. Houston Mosquito Control Systems/Mostex Pest Control is a crooked company that does not service mosquito systems properly and lies on service sheets to collect for a full tank.

Initial promises about trouble-free maintenance dissolve into unreturned phone calls and no explanations about maintenance. Ultimately, the company attempted to hold us hostage to paying questionable bills in order to obtain repairs. Recommend finding any other provider than this one.

The company was great. I called on a Tuesday and Joshua was able to come out that same afternoon. The system was installed on Thursday. The chemical person came out Friday morning (early by my request so that I could get to work), and filled the tank. The installers were very professional and carefully placed all the lines so that they were hard to see around the house. It was raining at times, but they still worked diligently through the mud. The chemical person thoroughly explained how to use the electronic timer and remote control.

I met with Mike Krause who gave me thorough explanations of the different options and the pros and cons of each. He walked my yard and drew a diagram of nozzle placement for optimal mosquito control then gave me a bid for the work. I needed to have an exterior GFI outlet installed, and he told me what to expect to pay an electrician for that. Once the work was scheduled, he scheduled the work for the same afternoon. Installers arrived promptly as scheduled and did the work quickly and without mess. The man who checked the work, tested the system, added the misting solution, and programmed the electronics also arrived promptly and explained the system thoroughly.
