Friendswood Firewood was able to give us a quote within 2 days of the call and schedule the work for the following week. They were professional, quick and a gave us a great price based on multiple quotes received. They hauled off all of the debris from the 3 large pines that they removed and trimmed our remaining oak beautifully.

I am so pleased with Friendswood Firewood from beginning to end. Justin was able to come out and give me an estimate within a couple days of me contacting the company. I had quite a list of things to be trimmed and removed. I found a few more things I wanted removed, so he came out again in a very reasonable amount of time and gave me a new quote. I told him I wanted to go with them, and it was a couple of days later that they came out and did the work.
I wasn't there when they did all the work, but my neighbor told me that had all the machines there to do a professional job. I was VERY HAPPY with what I saw when I got home. It looks like a brand new yard. Everything was professionally trimmed, removed, ground out, back-filled, and cleaned up. I had two palm trees that I wanted trimmed up and they cleaned up all the old dangerous spikey needles that had been on the plants from when I cut the leaves.
I would DEFINITELY recommend them and will use them again.

This is a very professional company, and the cost is half of what others quoted me. There was a full crew who knew exactly what they were doing and got to work doing it. They did not dally, and followed my instructions and requests excellently. Trees look fabulous! No mess left behind. They were prompt and called me immediately after putting in my request. I'd hire the company again in a heartbeat. I've already recommended this company to my friends and neighbors.

The service went very well. The crew arrived when they said they would. They cut the tree to the ground and removed all of the debris a lot quicker than I thought it would take. They did not damage the lawn and the site was very clean when they left.

Friendswood Firewood came to my house last Wednesday and gave me a bid (lower than my previous bids) on tree trimming for 2 large oak trees a crate myrtle and having a 30 foot magnolia tree cut down along with some other type tree growing next to my house. They did the job on Friday and it only took them 3 hours max! Very quick and efficient! They did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend them to anyone! Justin the owner was a pleasure to deal with!

First visit: trees and shrubs were tagged and got a quote for $500. I explicitly asked for the tree limbs hanging over my roof to be cut.
2nd contact: Set up appointment. Was given an approximate date for service and was told I'd get a phone call the night before the service.
3rd contact, 2nd visit: I was working the night shift so was sleeping during the day. I woke up to repeated phone calls (they dialed, hung up, dailed again, hung up, repeatedly) until I answered. I came outside and the crew was there working. I spoke with Randal. Randal was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They'd finished one tree by the time I came outside. I reminded Randal that I wanted all the limbs hanging over the roof cut and he said and quot;okay.and quot; I also asked about getting a shrub cut out and the root removed and he gave me a quote of $50. I soon headed out. When I returned home, I saw that there were still limbs hanging over the house and the stump from a small tree was still there.
4th contact: I sent an email about the the limbs, the stump, and the lack of phone call. I got a friendly email back saying they did call me the night before service (I had no missed calls or voicemails. You'd think they would have at least left a message) and said they'd be out later that week to grind out the stumps. I emailed back with more info, a written okay to finish up the work, and thanked them for the prompt response via email and voicemail.
5th contact: I was at work in an important meeting and got repeated phone calls over and over again. They just kept coming and got an email saying Randal was trying to reach me about grinding out the stump. I ran out to answer and talked for literally less than 2 minutes and said to yes, grind out the stump and had to run back in. I'm disappointed that I just kept getting calls even though I'd put in the prevoius email that they could grind out the stump.
6th contact: Got home and saw the stump was grinded out but the limbs hanging over the house weren't cut. I called and mentioned that the limbs weren't cut and was told that Justin would come out and look at it and I'd get a heads up before his arrival.
7th contact: Justin showed up at my door while I had guests. I didn't get a heads up that he would be there. We walked out front and looked at the trees and he said they could cut the limbs but it would be at an additional cost. I pointed out that I'd asked for the price of cutting the limbs over the house in my original quote and that I'd told Randal on the first visit that I'd wanted the limbs over the house cut. He repeated that they could do that, but that they don't usually do that, so they'd have to come back and that, again, it would be an extra fee. I was disappointed that it was going to cost extra for something I'd asked for 2 and was to be included in my quote, so I did not agree for them to come back.
The stump grinding out work was of very high caliber. I only gave a rating of C because the work that I asked to be performed specifically was not performed. 2 neighbors mentioned to me that they noticed my trees has been trimmed. The neighbors that see one of the yard said that it looked like they did an awesome job. The neighbors that face the opposite end of the yard said it looked like someone and quot;banged upand quot; my trees. I truly don't have enough experience with tree trimming to know if they did a great job or not, but it must be right in the middle for me to have dissenting opinions!
Again, overall, I really appreciated the friendliness of the company. They were prompt to respond to emails and voicemails and were always positive and willing to look into the situation. I was disappointed in the lack of forewarning before showing up at the house, especially given that I'd mentioned after the first time that it was an issue for me. I am also disappointed that I didn't get the full work done on the trees that I expected. Since then, I have had 2 dead branches fall on my roof, which was exactly what I'd wanted to avoid. I trust that these guys are experts and were trying to keep the tree balanced, but I also knew exactly what I wanted for the tree and didn't want to have to deal with issues with the roof.

Work in the front on the pines was very good. Work in the backyard was good. They trimmed too much off of some large branches that were reaching into neighbors yards. It looks too trimmed. bare branches sticking out of the trunk.

Both the bid and the work were done in a very timely manner. Crew arrived on time and was respectful of my yard, with minimal collateral damage despite removing a large tree from a small space. Very happy with the work done.

Called Friendswood Firewood Co. for an estimate on trimming three trees on Friday afternoon. Justin came out on Monday morning to prepare the estimate in-which I was not at home. The trees were marked with ribbon and he called to discus the service I needed and gave me the price. The price was very reasonable for the worked performed. We made a time that he could do the work and his office called on the day of service to let me know they were on the way. Thirty minutes later here they come, they never missed a beat once I confirmed the work they started. I about an hour they were done and the tress look so much better. Very professional and cleaned up the area as the work was performed. I will defiantly will call Friendswood Firewood Co. for my future needs

They visited my house while I was at work to make an estimate for the work and to tag the trees; they called me at work with the estimate and provided some details (noting dead limbs in the live oak). When I returned home, I verified that they had tagged the correct trees. I called back and gave the go-ahead for the work, asking that they remove an electronic weather station and hummingbird feeder from the live oak to prevent damage. They said that they would schedule the work and call my home and office telephone numbers before the crew arrived. As matters developed, I was home sick the day the work was performed, so I watched them in action. I talked with the foreman a little, and they went to work. The crew seemed competent and efficient; they took extra care to remove some plant pots away from a drop zone. They cleaned up very well at the end of the job, and the trees look good. I have absolutely no complaints, and I would be happy to use them again.

My call to Friendswood Firewood was handled professionally and the job was scheduled to my request. The crew arrived on time and took care with trimming the higher branches. They cleaned up after each tree was cleaned up; you would never know they had done the work with the exception of how much better the trees looked. I would (and have) recommend Friendswood Firewood.

My one large tree in front yard was overhanging driveway, sidewalk and house. In the backyard I had a large cottonless Cottonwood tree with a large limb overhanging my roof and one tree who branches were overhanging my neighbors yard (had received a complaint)
I contacted Friendswood firewood , they were extremely friendly and helpful on the phone. Justin came over the next morning , arriving slightly earlier than agreed time and we walked around discusssing what needed to be done and agreed on a price of $600.
For all the trimming involved this was a fair price. I wanted to be there when the trimming occurred so we agreed on scheduling a time the following week. Had to iterate on exact day due to rain. We agreed on a day and Randal (sp)and team arrived approx half hour early then planned , which was fine. They got to work in short order and had all the trees trimmed before noon and all the debris cleared and removed. Excellent job. Trees look great. Would hire them again.

Friendswood Firewood gave me the lowest estimate. Since they had done a good job on my trees twice before, I went with them.
You should really get at least three estimates. I got estimates from two other companies that had and quot;Aand quot; ratings on Angie's List. Friendswood Firewood's estimate was $450. The next estimate was for $850 with a 10% off coupon for senior citizens, making the true price $765. The highest estimate I got was an amazing $1800.00!
Friendswood Firewood was punctual and professional. They did an excellent job of pruning my trees and they did a good job of cleaning up after they finished.
