University AH is clean, has a friendly staff that genuinely seem to love animals, and provide good quality care. That said, I have never left that office without paying a lot more than expected. They seem to like running all possible labs and tests no matter what the complaint. There is zero sensitivity to keeping costs reasonable. I boarded our two dogs for the weekend recently and even though our pets routinely see another vet and had had an annual exam less than 6 months ago and had shots up to date per our usual vet - UAH insisted on their own vet doing an annual exam on both dogs and found several tests to pad the bill with. Cha-Ching! Bring the piggy bank if you come here...
