As far as I know, they were reasonable on the part. I feel like they're honest. They don't try to come up with a whole bunch of things they didn't see anything was wrong in the car. I feel like they've been very honest with me and I trust what they say. In some places, you never know especially when you take a woman to go there who doesn't know anything. I like to go there and I have to trust where I go. I thin $9.95 is an excellent price. I would use them again in the future. Every time I have a problem, I go straight there. It's not too far from my house.

I have found a car service place I trust. The AC went out in my car (in triple digit temps of course). I took my car to Tilden's. They diagnosed the problem, gave me a price, ordered the part and had me on the road before lunch while I waited. This place is clean and the people are nice plus it is close by. I will use them again. Note: Other customers there voiced how happy they are with the service at Tilden's which made me feel even better.

My car was overheating and leaking coolant. I took my car to Tilden on a Tuesday evening and dropped it off with them after hours by dropping my keys in their night deposit box with an explanation of the problems I was having with the car. I thought that was really convenient that they have a night drop box with envelopes where the customer can write the description of the problem on the outside of the envelope and then place their keys in the envelope and place it in the night drop box. Around 8:45AM the next morning, I received a call from one of their friendly mechanics who explained the suggested fixes for the car and the reasons for my overheating and coolant leak. He told me that the radiator was full of rust deposits and the cap on my coolant overflow container was broken and the thermostat was not working properly. He suggested to replace the radiator, thermostat and cap on coolant overflow container. By replacing the radiator, he informed me that the A/C system would also have to be drained and then recharged because it was all inter-connected to the radiator system. He gave me an estimate over the phone and told me that if I wanted to proceed, he could have the car complete within 3-4 hours. I asked him to proceed with the suggested repairs. I then received a call from Tilden later that day (Wed.) around 1PM informing me that my car was repaired and ready to be picked up! Wow! The total price I paid was within $5 of the estimate I received over the phone! That is great!! These people are friendly, thorough and fast! I have been driving my repaired car for about 2 weeks now with no problems whatsoever. Tilden did a great job at a reasonable price. Customer service is prompt and friendly. I would recommend them to anyone. Satisfied customer here.

I called Tilden and received courteous service. They told me when they opened in the mornings and to bring the vehicle in the next day. They told me they would call me before they would proceed with the work, which they did! We dropped the vehicle off on my husband's way to work and picked it up at 4 p.m. the same day! No surprises. It was ready and at the price they had told me on the phone when they had called me earlier.

Great shop, everybody was extremely friendly, specially the manager and the owner. Car is running great and saved over $350.00 in compared to other estimates, plus it cook only 3 hour and I was driving with the A/C on, going home. I will be back for any future car repairs....Thanks

I was told to confirm the code at an Autozone(for the bad thermostat) and I did. I called NTB and they quoted me 325.00 to replace it. I paid 200 dollars less at Tilden. After they replaced the tremostat, I had to drive for a while, then after a restest, it passed inspection.

I was basically happy with them. They were pretty good. Their price was pretty reasonable. I didn't get the feeling that they were trying to sell me something that was unnecessary, which I appreciated. I thought their pricing was reasonable. I really liked the personnel that did an unexpected oil change. Most of the places in my area are very expensive and they have got lousy rating on the internet. These guys looked pretty good and they did a good job. I think they might have scratched the paint on my car but I'm not sure it was them. That was annoying but other than that everything was fine. I'm not hundred percent sure that it was them.

OUTSTANDING!! After going to one mechanic and being blatanly lied to about what I needed under my hood that would have cost me a pretty penny, I found this little piece of heaven!! I came here, they fixed my rim, rotated my tires, all under 20 bucks! They gave me a military discount and Rick Jordan did a great job on my car. He was honest about what was going on with it and I would recommend this place to any family, friend, or coworker.

I've been going to Tilden for about the past 2 years. They treat me very well. They give you an honest evaluation of what you need and if you go in thinking something is wrong and they don't think that's what the problem is they'll tell you that you don't need the service. They get all the work done when they say they will. They're absolutely wonderful. I've recommended them to others and will continue to do so. They do oil changes for $15!

We quit using dealerships unless it is a warranty item or recall. We have been very pleased with Tilden and have recommended them to friends. Their price is always cheaper than the dealership, and in the most recent case of my daughters car, it was $200 less. I have never had a single complaint with them. They stick to their estimates and always deliver as promised.

Brad, the manager, uses independent mechanics which means they cost more for labor. Brad also insists on not using anything but OEM parts for electronic related parts. Again, much more cost. After my mechanic of seven years couldn't successfully diagnose my intermittent starting problem because the car started fine (and we could not get it to not start), he told me that he knew it wasn't the fuel pump. The first thing Brad at Tilden told me after they troubleshot it was that it was the fuel pump. I told him how my other mechanic that I use frequently said that it wasn't the fuel pump, but Brad insisted. So, I agreed to the $600 OEM fuel pump and independent mechanic labor cost and they replaced the fuel pump. Guess what? My car still didn't start. So, they tried to diagnose why and then the car started and they couldn't continue their troubleshooting. Brad said to come back when it wasn't starting again. So, three days later, it didn't start so I took it to my tower's mechanic (Johnny's Automotive in Irving) and Johnny figured it out in 30 minutes. It was the junction box above the fuel pump relay. It had a loose connection that was in sometime and would slightly be out other times. Delicate connection. Johnny fixed it and my car has worked ever since. I called Brad at Tilden to let him know what the problem was and asked him if his mechanic put an external power supply on the first fuel pump to see if it was working and I didn't feel comfortable with the way he was going back and forth with the mechanic who troubleshot my car. Didn't seem completely honest and straight forward to me. I feel like I got ripped off. Though, I also had a fuel injection cleaning and spark plug replacement done at Tilden and I'll give them credit there - they did ok with that. I'm not going back and don't recommend him. I recommend Sachse Auto Care managed by Joe Brown or Johnny's Automotive in Irving managed by Johnny Jhong. Joe and Johnny are great down to earth honest veteran mechanics that will spend good time with you on your problem and figure out the best solution for your situation. I am writing separate reviews on Joe and Johnny.

They spend a lot of time telling you what they are going to do and how much it costs. I feel like they are honest. They will give you a ride if you need it. They use factory parts and not from China and that is why it is a little more.

Reverse gear had gone out on my car. I called to set-up an appointment. When person answered the phone, he absolutely had no phone courtesy toward me at all. The attitude was, "Don't call here, I'm busy, bring it in or not, I don't care." The good feed-back on Angie's List is the only reason I went ahead and let them fix it. The repair was done in 24 hours. The gears are shifting properly. I don't expect lengthly "chit-chat" when I call a business, I do expect to be treated as a valued customer and spoken to in a courteous manner.

The owner, Brad, was very friendly, explaining he was a new owner of a long established business. He called a few hours later to give me a report. He reported there was nothing wrong with my car. They had checked it from front to rear. He suggested the noise was probably glazed brake pads. He said he did not recommend spending the money to make that repair. It does not effect safe operation. He said my tires have 59,000 miles on a 60,000 mile tire and should be replace soon. He offered very competitive prices on a couple of different quality tires. I will buy tires from him if I don't trade the car soon. When I went to pick up my car he said there was no charge, "Come back to see me when you have work for me to do." I do plan to take my wife's Toyota in for service. His shop is very clean and organized. His employees appeared to be honest professional people. He has a special $20 oil/filter change and tire rotation, $69 brake special. I will go back.

Great! Mike helped me and was friendly and professional throughout the repair process. I felt very comfortable having the repairs done there. It has been a month or two since the work was done and my truck is still running better than it has in years. I would definitely recommend the shop and wouldn't hesitate to have work done there again. In fact, I am going to have more work done there soon. Thanks Mike!

They were able to get us right in and didn't take very long. They got the air conditioning working, but to get it actually fixed would cost more than we could afford. It is leaking freon and they said that we can just come in and have it re-filled until we can get the bigger repair done. The quote for the repair was $900, which seems kind of high but I haven't shopped around.
