HORRIBLE. For starters, I hired him and PAID him $750 to install french doors in my home. He not only cancelled the day of installation but when he DID show up late the next day he installed warped doors. He told me basically there was nothing he could do. Its my impression that if he provided the doors and installed them, then it is HIS responsibility to make sure they are acceptable and satisfactory. I have asked him over and over to come fix them or replace them and he ignores me. I figured if I hired him to do another job for me I could get him to fix the doors... THEN...I hired him to build an outdoor cat enclosure for me. He did HALF the job- leaving early each day he showed up - claiming some emergency and then showed up hungover and unable to work in the hot sun. He broke so many of my outdoor yard decorations with no concern whatsoever. He tore down the existing structure and just left it piled in my back yard. Then he snuck out the side gate on Friday and Saturday when I was home and left with his worker. I have not seen him since and it is Monday. I asked him on Friday when he left early to please communicate with me if he is going to leave. He ducks out when you aren't looking. He has not completed 1/4 of the job and I paid him most of what the bid was. I am now stuck having to hire another contractor to haul off the trash and finish the work he started. PLUS half of what he did was wrong and needs to be redone. The boards are crooked, big gaps in between areas that are supposed to be water tight. My yard is a wreck and now I am going to have to pay twice the amount to get this done. He is telling me he had a family situation come up and will come back on Wednesday to finish. There is no way in h*** I am letting him step foot on my property. I am going to take him to small claims court for my French doors and for a partial refund of what I paid him. He bought some materials and they are here so I will deduct that from what I want refunded.
