Very well. I have used this business now for many years and not only is the work done well Mark keeps updated on other things that need attention, like a leaking hose bib and extra trash left in our parking lot that he and crew pick up. He is nice to work with and has a great sense of humor. He is fair with pricing and great to communicate with.

The WORST lawn care EVER! First, I was required to sign and pay up front for a one year contract specifying the normal lawn care and landscaping that would be provided. They NEVER fulfilled the terms of their contract. I had to call them three times regarding routine care that was supposed to be provided. If I ever asked questions, Mr. Smith became angry that I should question him. He was very chauvinistic and demeaning to me. He asked me if I was this “bitchy with everyone” when I asked why the bushes were not trimmed and the lawn was cut unevenly. He broke my gate, and it looked as though it had been cut with a saw, so it had to be rebuilt. He broke 3 of my landscape lights, some flower pots and lawn ornaments. The lock from my gate disappeared. He told me I was stupid to keep the gate locked despite having an attractive nuisance in the yard that could cause the death of a child were the gate not locked. He always claimed he had not broken anything and did not offer an apology, let alone replace or repair for the damage. He told me that a woman without a husband could not handle a house alone. He did not clean up the lawn waste and clippings. Though he claimed to have been at the house, I could find no evidence that anything had been done. The lawn was covered with leaves, there were weeds in the planters, the bushes were untrimmed. I called when I got home from work and he yelled at me for not calling during business hours and asked me who I thought I was. I thought I was the person who contracted for his services and paid him upfront! Now, I KNOW I am a former customer who was taken to the cleaners and will never allow him on my property again.

"This past customer was indeed asked to sign and pay up front.Those who know me , know Im very fair and can count on me. Ever so often, you inherit a customer as such. Upon her at her very scheduled time upon signing, she had intentionally invited me in her home and sat on the couch, while she wore very loose clothing,ETC. I was not impressed, front that get go.She not only called 3 times for yes what she called routine care was simply her staging her messes for us to pick up, as I told her we were not at her beckoning call.Many more times she texted in the middle of the night, disturbing my family.She informed me she would call at any time even if normal hours were 8-5.It gets old when she does this and asked why we don't pick up her messes.Angry I do not get, frustrated on being called names, we suck cause we don't pick up her messes, which is not in contract, and mother natures falling leafs in November is sad.By not obeying her and going way beyond business duties is not chauvinistic nor demeaning.If you looked at text she has sent,Hmm.Shrubs were always trimmed to spec, lawn never uneven .I won't ,I can't apologize for breaking her gate, like it had been cut with a saw?We all know we as landscapers don't go that extra mile to cut a 1 minute backyard, etc.Come On! Breaking 3 lights,pots,ext,Come On! Telling her she is Stupid,come on! Telling her she could cause death to a child ,Come On.She has built this up beyond.Why would I tell her about a women without a husband..?I really don't care , but realize why she probably don't have one now.If you have a dog, you, pick up all your dog waste, nasty.Date in question. We serviced 11-19-19 from 1030am to 1115am.This yard was near perfect, Even before servicing.This lady own Mother came and went into backyard and unlocked the gate, which she seen the yard was near leaf free then.In 12 hours time, leafs fell. Its November,Its what it does!.Maybe her own Mother can give us a character witness for the home owner!"

The first few times were excellent. Once the contract was signed services are horrible. When you call to discuss all the missed mows and the quality being horrible and all the missed spots when mowed and the fact they have tore up the fence due to being too lazy to get off mower to open and close fence they use the zero turn mower to push it shut, they accuse you of being difficult and are very rude. Owner then threatens and reminds you of a contract which stated 3 fertilizations over the course of a 6 month period and only received one, as well as stating ALL turf (which to me means all grass) will be mowed and then after decides not to mow the back of the yard except every other time. I have many pictures of the last 3 mows showing the lack of care when mowing. This house belongs to my disabled sister who is unable to do any yard care herself. We cancelled all services at our own home, but he knows this house is operated by a trust and is taking advantage of the fact a disabled lady can not defend herself and the extreme amount of time it takes for a trust account to cancel services.

In regards to the trust company in charge, they have knowledge from outside sources that this property has never looked better. Mrs [Member Name Removed] and [Member Name Removed] are very nice people andThe vast knowledge and competence of our company was overwhelming for them in their defense. They are used to the so called lawn care people who operate out of the trunk of there car.We are certified in over 20 topics , licensed,and have been in business for 29 years so with that said, it really takes a lot to be perfect,which we are not. They did terminate early due to the fact we would not give free additional services,out of contract and agreement. We wish them well with there unlicensed new weed control company."

The company originally did a good job.  Over the past few months they have become inconsistent though.  Missing about 1 out of every 4 mowing appointments since May.  When we would e-mail the owner, Mark Smith, to ask if we were forgotten, it was a professional reason - either they had a really big job and were swamped, the rain got them behind, or it was a holiday.  This last time, over the 4th of July weekend, we e-mailed him and he became very confrontational and attacked us personally on many different levels.  We ended our agreement with this company starting today and would never recommend any one to use this company.  

By reading the other reviews, it seems like this is a common theme.  When his work is questioned, he becomes angry.

"In our defenses, we both know there was no anger here. We who work outside do have to abide with mother nature, wether the [Removed Member Name] of the world like it or not.This is why on our agreements we print in layman terms that is weather permitted. Yes, we don't want to look foolish mowing if its pouring rain.We did not have a big job and skip services here, thats not what we do.We also in print provide days not showing up if its a holiday that just maybe all could enjoy.If we were this inconsistent over a few months then we shouldn't had gone that long. I have never dealt with [Member Name Removed] , don't know who you are. Dealing with [Removed Member Name] though,who then worked for St. Judes Hospitals, was good. I also let him know Ihave donated thousands to The St Judes Cancer Research as well."

Everything was satisfactory--for the most part---until I asked why I was charged $70.00 for "TRIMMED OVERGROWTH POOLSIDE".  There is no overgrowth by my pool except for 7 or 8 red tipped photenias for which I was previously charged $85.00 to trim.  I asked for an explanation as to what overgrowth Smith's Lawnage was referring to.  What I received was rambling diatribes (a dozen e-mails--several of which had nothing to do with the question) which included how I should pay like I'm at Disneyland, hire a live-in Gardner, and to leave him alone until I can get myself right.

"Wow, in our defense we verbally agreed on the trimming of the out of control red tip photenias, which I only charged $70 and previously you paid $85.The property was in denial .We explained our rate and an estimated time frame and cost, and was in that range. [Member Name Removed] wanted us to use her mower and all her stocked up insecticides and fertilizers. We walked the common property and horse pasture a bit and agreed on exactly would would transpire. I think [Member Name Removed] you wanted a professional job at a live in gardener rate. Then not took forever to get paid after a couple of inquiries for payment, yes, I become a bill collector.In all, [Member Name Removed] was very excited about where the place was and how well it looked after services.Mainly,being paid was the issue here."
