John is a one man show, it seems, so both times he's come out, it feels like he's slipping us in on his lunch break or something. He's incredibly kind and takes time to explain things plainly. Another bid from a well-advertised company was bloated with several hundred dollars worth of work - John put our fears to rest and did what was needed. He's our A/C guy from now on.

They were prompt, professional, honest, and very good. I would definitely use them again. I rent this house out so I wasn't there for the repairs but my tenant was - they were willing to invoice me for the services instead of demanding a credit card or for me to be there to pay at the time services were rendered. I can't comment on price yet because I haven't received the invoice.

Within 2 weeks of moving into our new house, the A/C stopped working. Of course, it went out on the Friday before Father's Day, when we were supposed to have 20+ people in our house. I initially called the home warranty company, but they couldn't have anyone out until Saturday, and I was terrified that in waiting, they'd find they needed a part that they wouldn't be able to get until the following week. So, I called someone else.
My parents have used John Shipp for years, so going off of total faith in them, I left a message with his dispatch, praying for help that day. He was able to work me in within a few hours, came out and within 30 minutes of being here, had replaced the relay switch and we were up and running! I even asked if I could borrow his ladder for a second to raise up a chandelier since we had just moved and I didn't have a tall enough one myself, and to my surprise, he actually did the whole lift for me! He is such a sweetheart, and completely reasonable in his pricing. I would recommend him to anyone!
