We got our annual bill in October 2012 but decided to let is lapse since we bought a new home (but had not moved yet). We got another notice later so we finally returned their bill on February 7 2013 with a note to please cancel (we thought they would do it automatically if we didn't pay, which is what their bill said they would do).
They called and said we owed 89.59. They still had monitoring turned on even though we had not paid our bill 4 months prior. We weren't happy about that but figured it was our fault for not contacting them in the first place. So we used online bill pay and paid the 89.59 on February 14. That payment failed since I had their old address in bill pay. When the bank notified me that it failed, I updated the address in bill pay and submitted the payment schedule successfully for March 6. I sent them a note on February 28 to let them know.
So you'd think that would be the end of the story but it was not. We just received a new annual bill today! It was sent to our old address and forwarded to our new one. The kicker is that I can't send them an email since the website they list on their bill is non-existent (www.sdssecurityinc.com). So I am going to document what I wrote above and send it to them. I expect it turn out well but I should haven't to spend the time and postage on this. I could call but I am a big believer in getting everything in writing.

The last time they were out they had to install a new unit and it works beautifully. They are great at trouble shooting any problems such as contacts in windows etc.
We are moving now and will definitely consider them if we alarm our new house. We recommend them over any other company and we did a lot of research before going with SDS.

They don't usually have to come out very often, but they're very responsive if you have a problem.

The process was somewhat complicated due to conflicts with our digital phone line and the previous system installation. SDS had to return on three separate occasions to correct these pre-existing problems. They did not charge for the subsequent visits and the system is now completely operational.

I used them before when I lived in San Francisco, California and I realized that they were down here in Texas. I like using their service and I like how fast they respond. I have no problems with them at all. Their rates are extremely cheap and that is probably what I like the most.
