Wonderful experience! The first plumber was sent out by American Home Shield. He showed up a full day later than promised, said he would have to cut out a section of wall to effect the repair, and bid the job at $1,075 (the bid did not include the cost of replacing the wall). When AHS declined to pay for the repair, I contacted a client who's an electrical contractor. He knows several plumbers, but would recommend none of them. Instead, he recommended Angie's List. I joined on line, saw all "A's" for Romance Plumbing, and called. Jackie Dunn, the owner of Romance, came out personally. He was able to effect the repair from the outside wall without removing a single brick by cutting out the old broken-off threads from the joint inside the wall and fitting a new pipe to the old plumbing. He did an excellent job, even the city inspector was impressed! He showed up on time, was courteous and professional, and charged $335- less than 1/3 of the first plumber's bid.

Romance plumbing was wonderful and did a fantastic job. They provided outstanding service and we are very happy with our new bathroom and their work.

The water heater job went without a hitch, although expensive. $950 for the installation including the water heater and the 50% permit from the city. I wanted a permanent fix for the water box. The original bid of $425 called for digging up the box, fixing the temporary repair, and putting it back together again. WHAT I GOT was a piece of foam wrapped around the coupling and that was it. 10 minutes work for $425! I called the company and Jackie Dunn Jr., sent Mike back to do the job right. This took two trips somewhere to get parts which were not on his truck. He borrowed a white bucket which wasn't returned, but did manage to re-do the fix to my satisfaction.

Plumber came out to give a bid for the project. He arrived on time. He looked at what had to be done, asked a few clarifying questions, and made a suggestion to improve the remodel project. Then, he went out to his vehicle and prepared a detail estimate and returned in a few minutes with his price. He was very professional. I called the next day to let them know that I was excepting their bid. They scheduled a day to begin the work (5 days). They got a permit from the work, showed up the day and time agreed to, worked all day so an inspection could be performed the next day. After the inspection, they came right back out and filled in the slab with concrete and connected our washing machine. Job was started and finished in 2 days. Excellent work. The City Inspector was very pleased with their workmanship.

We had this company do extensive bathroom update last year and were very satisfied. We felt very secure in calling them out for the current problem. They came quickly and cleared up the problem extremely well and fast.
