Ricky The Painter

Excellent job.

I was pleased with his work especially considering he was quite a bit lower than competitors. There was a miscommunication in caulking the upstairs windows and master bath windows, but when I asked about it, he did offer to come back and do them. I didn't take him up on his offer and just did it myself, but it was appreciated. I found a few specks of paint on faucet handles in bathroom and elsewhere, but this wasn't too big of a deal to me especially considering this isn't a huge company with the huge company price tag. I would use him again. 

My wife is extremely particular about our house.  In fact, if I were a contractor, I would never agree to do work for her.  Throughout the years, we have had a lot of remodels, landscaping work, painting, etc and I cannot remember a single time where she did not have the contractor come back at least once to "fix' something that she did not like the way it was done.
Ricky the Painter exceeded her expectations.   When he was through with the work and we accomplished the "walk through", her comment was that "This is perfect and it looks better than I thought it could possibly look".    I did not think I would ever hear these words about a contracting job.
Background:
On the day of the appointment to give us an estimate, Ricky called to verify the appointment.  About one hour prior to the appointment he called to let us know that he was on his way, but was caught in traffic.  About 30 minutes later he called to say that traffic was not moving at all, so there must be a big problem.   As it turned out, the interstate highway that he was using was closed due to a significant fire.   We rescheduled the appointment.   I was impressed that his communication was so thorough during this traffic problem.   He did not want me to be inconvenienced.
On the rescheduled appointment, he arrived right on time.  I described the work that we wanted accomplished.  He figured up the estimate immediately and gave it to me.   I called him later that day to confirm that we wanted him to do the work.
When we scheduled the work, he and his crew arrived on time.  They were very efficient, friendly and not messy at all.  The first day, they power washed and began the taping process.  He also painted 2 different 'test' areas so we could make sure that we were happy with the paint color.  The second day they continued the taping and prepping process, and began spraying.  The third day they finished painting and removed all the maskng/taping.   They were on time each day, they were quick and efficient, and cleaned up before they left.    Over the 3 day period, they painted/sprayed 2 coats.
On the 3rd day, we realized that we wanted to have the garage doors and patio posts painted to match the house trim.  I had initially told Ricky that we did not want these painted.  He was very accommodating and the price to accomplish this additionaly work was very reasonable.
Our expectations were exceeded by Ricky and his crew.  They did a great job and were a pleasure to have at our home.  We honestly cannot find one single problem.   Our wood, divided light windows look fantastic.  And the rest looks great, too.  They were very meticulous and careful,and it was clear that they wanted us to be satisfied with the work.
We will use Ricky on all subsequent painting jobs.   He was fantastic!!!!!!

They were great! I found him through Angie's List. That was back in the winter. We had a lot of stuff done in the same period. We are trying to get our house on the market. We spent about two thousand. He painted all the exterior trim and repaired and caulked. This was the first time that we were using him. I was impressed by the fact that they worked so fast. They came, took care of it and they were gone. I would give them 'A's across the board. They were really good. Good cleanup, you could not tell that they were here except for what they left behind. We have been real happy with Angie's list so far. Every one referred by Angie's List has been real good.

Ricky was punctual, receptive to change, and did all the jobs right the first time. His crew was courteous and worked very hard from beginning of the day to the end, every day.

Prompt, polite and quick. Did not go over the estimate and patient with my indecision about the color. Everything went very well.

Ricky and his team were very attentive to detail, courteous and accommodating. This is the second time I've had the house painted since I moved in and this experience was far superior to the first time. Communication was very good and it was clear they knew what they were doing. They spent a full week just prepping the house because I have a lot of true-divided light windows. I highly recommend them.

We were very pleased with the entire process. He showed up on time at our agreed start date and went immediately to work. He helped us finalize our paint colors, and was very helpful and we are glad we asked his advise! We have received several compliments from our neighbors. The entire process was seamless, and he and his assistant were friendly, efficient, and cleaned up all materials after each day. He had estimated 4 days for the work, but completed in 3. He completed the power washing, window caulking, priming, board/trim replacement, and exterior paint to our 2 story home. In addition he repaired our front door and repainted with an additional complementing color. He removed a rotted load-bearing cedar post to our pergola, dug out remaining remnants and replaced and secured with new cedar post (that was an incredible amount of work as the previous owners that installed the pergola cut some corners.) We did a final walk thru of the work and he was very interested in seeing that i was completely satisfied, and indeed we were. Before i let him leave, i received a few more estimates on upcoming projects we would like done, such as complete restain of our pergola, and refinishing of our hardwood floors. We have already recommended him to a few others and look forward to working with him again. We highly recommend Ricky the Painter!

We were very happy with Ricky and recommend him. He is prompt, reliable, gave us a reasonable quote, and did the job right. He is easy and flexible to work with. Just tell him everything you want done and he'll tell you how he can do it, give you a reasonable quote, and deliver on time. This was a little bit of an effort coz of the pool environment but he did it perfectly. He's a reliable guy and he'll get the job done.

Went very well. Ricky kept the estimate appointment and had the whole job done within a week of down payment. Crew very professional.Trim looks great!! Crew did not leave a mess. Reasonable price for the amount of work.I would definitely recommend Ricky to others- especially if you have a lot of 'picky' areas that need perfect painting.

I was really dreading finding a good painter for all this trim work so I kept putting the job off. I will definitely hire Ricky and crew again when I need house painting!

VERY PROFESSIONAL AND VERY COURTEOUS. I WILL HAVE MORE PAINT WORK COMING UP ON THE EXTERIOR MY HOME AND I WILL BE UTILIZING THEM AGAIN. JOB TOOK A FEW EXTRA DAYS, BUT WELL WORTH IT!!!

Excellent. Easy person to talk with and work with. Stays on the job until it is finished. Uses good paint. Has held up well.

His work is very satisfactory and his price is excellent. He took care of this other matter quickly and very efficiently. He used cement and he had a helper with him. He has got his own truck with lettering on the side. He is very personable and though he is a Hispanic, he speaks English. I would limit anything that I needed done to the carpentry and the painting. I do not think he is an electrician or anything like that.
