Republic Alarm

I have been a customer for a few years. Customer service could not be worse. Cancelled our home plan w/ them and went with another company. Went to do the same with office & they are saying the contract auto renewed exactly one month prior and thus, cost of $750 to cancel! Crooks. I'll be fighting this one....and leaving reviews on every platform I can. AVOID THIS OUTFIT LIKE THE PLAGUE!

This company, despite internet reviews to the contrary, has been unable to provide service without multiple issues. The original salesman gave me erroneous information about billing, which he tried to change after the equipment was installed. This led to months of Republic Alarm being unable to apply my payments to my account properly. Lost checks, cashed checks not applied to my account ... the errors ran the gamut and included multiple calls to and from the office staff. My bank had to provide them with proof of payment to get my account corrected. Since they began using a third-party billing company, that problem was resolved, but it took several months of effort on my part. Today, I received a call from the monitoring company (which is also done by a third-party), asking me to call regarding signals that they received from my equipment. Upon calling them back, the call went to their answering service, since Republic Alarm employees don't come in until 10am. The answering company could find no record of my account, so they transferred me to the monitoring company. The monitoring company could find no record either. When a real Republic Alarm employee called me back, she told me that the message I got should have told me to call back during office hours. Their office hours are during the time when most people work! If I didn't have an over $700 investment in relatively new monitoring equipment, I would leave this company ASAP, and go somewhere that provides a better customer experience. I am not at all confident that my house is properly monitored. I do not recommend this company. Their business practices are inconsistent and again, do not inspire confidence for a very critical service - home security.

I was very impressed with the whole process. From contract to installation everything was done quickly and professionally. The monthly fees are very reasonable.  I would highly recommend this company.  Rob also told us about fire alarms that could be installed and how much that could, along with the security system, help reduce our home owners insurance. He didn't try to sell us anything but he was just letting us know of this service and how it could benefit us.

We contacted four home security companies for quotes for full indoor security on our new home.  Three were top-rated "national" companies and Republic Alarm, whom was referred by a friend.  Republic has everything the national companies have, but with personal service.  You don't talk to a salesman on a toll-free number to design your package.  A company representative comes to your home and works with you to design the system that fits your needs.  In addition, our up-front cost was considerably less than the national companies.  We chose two additional components for installation that were about $100 each.

The installation tech was professional and very respectful of our home and space.  He got all the new components installed much quicker than we expected and left not a trace behind.  
Republic uses top brand components and installs anything from a basic system to full home automation.  We chose a couple of automation components and are very pleased with our system.  We can view our system status on our cell phones at any time and activate or deactivate from our cell phones.
When we have had questions, we can reach a company rep quickly by phone, text or email and if they are not immediately available, have always responded within 10 minutes to answer any questions.  So, Republic can do anything the big guys do and they do it even better.
