Renissance Illusion Painting

Herbert had the specialty supplies shipped to my house.  When he arrived we discussed options for the fireplaces. He was very receptive to my ideas, and gave me some great new ones.  We came to an agreement as to what needed to be done to update the fireplaces, and he went to work!
He built the frame to cover the existing fireplaces, and put a coat of product on it that looked like stucco or plaster, painted that, then added another layer of texture to it.  He alternated working on both fireplaces, so when one was drying he was working on the other, and kept busy the entire time, working late into the evening to finish.  He was kind, professional, and cleaned up the work site every day. 
When the fireplaces were complete, he finished trimming out the wood deck, correcting a problem with the base, as the deck was crooked. He gave me some great suggestions for finishing out my back yard.  The next day he replaced an exterior door on my garage, then helped me hang some large pieces of art over the fireplaces to complete the job.
I have used him for other projects over the years, he is a true artist, does a beautiful job, and backs his work.  I highly recommend him.

He took our dated, dingy, dark, 1970?s kitchen, and transformed it into a livable, bright, and spacious cooking and dining  area.
He used his many years of Construction and faux painting experience, along with his apprenticeship training in Bavaria, Germany, and explained to us how the transformation would take place. 
We had every confidence in him.
He removed the old wallpaper and texture, and refinished the walls and ceiling.  The walls were painted with a light taupe and the ceiling was painted with a lighter color.  The existing cabinets were re-shaped, and became brand new looking by adding customized trim, and by applying paint to both the inside and the outside. 
Since he used the existing cabinets, Herbert kept the cost and the number of remodel days to a minimum.
He remade our old Formica counter tops by mixing and applying his own especially designed materials.  He created a petrified wood looking counter top that is seamless, heat and scratch resistant, shiny, smooth, and durable with its hard epoxy finish.  Truly, a one of a kind counter top that is smart looking and maintenance free.
Installing a modern tile back splash and under cabinet lighting made the whole space become light, warm, and inviting.
Just by adding feet, trim, plaster, and stain, the plain center island became its own beautiful, antique piece of furniture, crowning that
whole transformation.
We are thrilled with our new kitchen.  We love cooking in it and love to show it off. Sometimes at night we turn off all the lights but the under cabinet lighting, stand in the doorway, and just ooo and awe. 

The faux stonework is beautiful!  It looks real and will be the centerpiece of my house from now on! I am very pleased with the results!  The timeframe for the work to be done was quick and the cost was very reasonable!  I am amazed at how beautiful the finished product is.  I was very satisfied with the tear-out, demo, disposal and prep work for the job and the efficiency of the work. The entire project would be given an "A+++" in my opinion.

He is absolutely amazing. When he gets done painting something it looks like you could step into the painting and take part in it. He did exactly what he said he would do, was on time, prompt, courteous, and cleaned up after himself. It was a terrific experience working with him. Plus he's a great stand-up comedian.

Excellent. On time and went out of his way to help me in other ways, like bringing me my passport at the airport and then sending it overnight to another time.

The overall experience with Renaissance Illusion Painting and Herbert Gabler was great to say the least. Herbert was always prompt and very professional. He is very creative and knowledgeable of his art. We were very impressed with the process and pleased that he used earth friendly chemicals. He had completed 50% of one room and made a suggestion to change it due to his concern we would not be satisfied. The results were a very happy wife and a look that was far above our expectations or imagination.
