Real Estate Auctions, Antiques
The auction is part treasure hunt, part social event, part gluttony, and part psych out in the attempt to outbid your competitors. There is a family atmosphere. In fact, it used to be named Ransberger Family Antiques & Auctions. There are at least two other competing Antique auctions within 20 miles of Ransberger Auctions. (The other two are Auction Depot and Alan Jones Auctioneers). Ransberger is the bargain basement version of the three. Still, you can find some real treasures there. You can leave sealed bids for items, and I have seen them call people and allow them to bid over the phone against the people in attendance. One phone caller bought a beautiful antique corner cabinet. (Don't forget the 10% buyers premium).
