Pro Solar Installers

Around August 2023, I lost the use of 12 panels due to three inverters not working. I contacted DJ w/ProSolar at that time. 9 months later, this issue is still unresolved. My impression is that this company is overwhelmed and solely focused on installations. For now I'm left with a $30,000 system that is partially operable. I even offered to pay for the inverters two weeks ago. After numerous texts, DJ has yet to provide me with a cost for the inverters. I would avoid this company until they have the ability to properly service the systems that are still under warranty. This saddens me because I considered the owner of the company trust worthy and an all around nice person. Most solar companies will not service a system they did not install. It's quite possible that it will take me months and cost several thousands of dollars to get this resolved. July 2, 2024 - I know have 4 inverters down. Contacted Skyline Enterprises who was more responsive and will attempt to service my solar system. Please avoid ProSolar. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will file a lawsuit for a partial refund. BBB Complaint # 21903907 July 7, 2024 - DJ is not responding to the BBB requests to resolve the complaint. I have obtained a lawyer to look into receiving a full refund for the installed system as it can not be serviced.

As slow evolution to gain full production. One needs patience for this effort. Other dependencies affect the installers performance - Still waiting on Oncor to honor solar transmission Sept 21st. Addressing warranty repairs (factory) appears slow - replacing a failed solar panel inverter, 2-weeks + and still waiting. Loosing 2.4 KWH / day waiting on a failed inverter replacement. Overall - I would pass this opportunity up - the house is poorly sighted relative to sun azimuth (line of travel) & a 15-degree roof doesn't work well with the solar panel acceptance angle of 50-degrees. The 320 watt panels installed can only collect 250 watts of sun. A loss of 22% in capabilities. The installed system of 22,000 watts can collect 11,400 watts for an hour (1~2-PM) on a best day (good sky transparency). The estimated target goal of 2500 KWH / mo is looking like 1800 KWH / mo. (a 28% miss in the estimate).
