They were efficient, better than other companies, knowledgeable, good assessment, and they found the problems that other people couldn't find.

Technician was on-time, did a great job, cleaned up, and cost was appropriate for work performed. We've used Phillips for many years and they are always terrific.

I was truly surprised when I decided to add this review and did not see tons of them for Phillips since they have been around forever!
I recently had the sewer main replaced from my house to the street, creating a 75 foot long trench right through the middle of my front yard's beautiful St. Augustine that I pamper.  I initially called the company that had installed my yard over 8 years ago, but the principal is a firefighter who was busy in other parts of the state for weeks performing high water rescues during the amazing amount of rain that we received.  While I would have liked to give him my business, there was only so long that I could wait.  Then I remembered that one of my neighbors had recently had new sod installed in their entire yard and that Phillips was the company that did it so I decided to give them a call.
Phillips installed my sprinkler system 10 years ago, had to move a sprinkler head for me when a fencing company didn't pay attention to what they were doing and even replaced my controller and sensor when my house was struck my lightning back in 2007.  I have recommended them to anyone who was considering a sprinkler system, including my neighbor down the street!  I was told that they really only do sod for existing customers and that was perfect for me!
They were punctual, did a great job, and were wonderful when I told them that I had to leave early (unexpected doctor's appt), because they had to make certain that all of the sprinkler heads were working properly and the controller was in the garage where they would not have access once I left.  A sprinkler head had to be replaced and boy did those guys thrash to get me out of there on time!
The reason that I give a B rating on Professionalism is due to the owner making a couple of racial comments that rubbed me the wrong way.  I don't know if he just has a really great relationship with his guys and he was just joking or what, but it just made me feel a little uncomfortable. 
The lawn looks great and I couldn't be more pleased.  I certainly hope that the owners appreciate the crew that works for them!
If you are a current customer of Phillips, please keep in mind their sod work.  And if you are in the market for a sprinkler system, they are definitely the ones to call!

I believe Phillips is simply the best, most competent, most professional, most reliable company in the Metroplex. Mark Patterson planned the 12-station system I need for my garden in May 2001, giving excellent advice (as, "no, you really shouldn't ignore those strips between sidewalk and street"), including shrub risers, soaker hose, and regular pop-up heads as needed for different locations, and originally leaving one station open for a small addition I planned to install later. He planned for garden growth. The system is still perfect after 14 years, with excellent, efficient water distribution as plantings have matured.
Over time, Phillips has added in that last station (to cover a small kitchen garden area) and made a number of minor repairs as needed. Repairs were for such things as station 6 electric valve replacement, and the time I sliced through a line while digging a new planting hole, not defects needing correction but repairing the the effects normal wear-and-tear over the years.
Basically, Mr. Phillips' colleagues and employees are really, really good at what they do, and they do it with absolute integrity as well as deep knowledge of horticulture and landscaping principles.

I have always been very pleased with the service I have received from Phillips Lawn Sprinkler repair. Even though they stay busy in the summer, they always do a great job trying to get you scheduled as quickly as possible. The repair techs do a good job of letting you know when they are supposed to arrive and the job is done right the first time.

The crew arrived on time as stated. They didn't waste any time and were cutting trenches within an hour of their arrival. They were here 4 days and only stopped for a 30 minute lunch break each day. They cleaned up each night and left the yard in great shape. We lost one half of a day because of wet weather but the crew showed up on time and went to work until the weather made them stop. Upon completion of the job they filled in two pre-existing depressions in the yard and leveled them to match the surrounding terrain. This was NOT part of the contract. It was a pleasure to have this crew do the job as they were very professional and the crew chief was always ready to answer our questions.

Project went very well. An estimate was provided and was discussed with myself and my wife. We obtained a second estimate and after receiving that one we decided that Phillip's was the best company to provide what we wanted. The installation crew arrived it the specified time frame on 6/22/2010 and they completed the project in 3 days. The job went smoothly and information on how to operate the system was provided. I am very pleased with the finished product and will not hesitate to refer anyone to this company. Mr. Jeff Phillips was the individual that gave us the estimate and he was very knowledgable about his product and provided with all of the information that we needed to make an intelligent, informed decision on out project. They are outstanding. I used their services about 30 days ago. I can speak highly about them. I have never questioned their pricing, as I know that it’s always going to be fair. The amount that I pay them depends upon how many sprinkler heads they put in. I had them come out to put different sprinkler heads on one side of the front yard in our primary residence, as we had some dead spots in the front yard. I spent around 356 $ for that job. I normally spend 75 $ to 100 $ when they come out on a service call or to check my sprinkler system in my primary residence. The price that I paid them was the best and was more than fair. The price is always lower than what they usually tell me when I ask them before getting the work done. Everything about them is excellent. I will continue to use their services in the future as well.

Unfortunately, after he completed the work, we had the check book prepared but he said that a bill would be sent to the address. The bill was received on August the 8th (two months later) dated August the 5th. Not only was the bill received late but the estimated charges the serviceman mentioned at the time of service were highly distorted. Ok, no problem. We received a Water Bill for $1335.60 in August because of the shady work completed by this company. When we informed the company about the leak and the water bill, we were told by (Gail/Gayle) that we needed to pay for the past due amount before they send someone back out to the house. I then asked about the type of warranty given and she placed me on hold for a few seconds. She returned and said, "We USUALLY offer a 30 day warranty for our service." Thirty days tells me that they don't trust their own work either. She then informed me that they will place a Lien on the house so we cannot sell it if we didn't pay them. She didn't appear to care about the p*** poor service they provided. Well, she did say, "Oh boy. Thirteen Hundred Dollar water bill?" It appears that we might be going to small claims court with this company so I highly recommend that customers stay away from them especially until my issue is resolved. I contacted a company to provide an estimate of the repair. I called the company from the internet. A representative from Greentree Sprinkler and Repairs came out. He dug the hole on the picture and said, "It looks like you had work done on this recently." I said yes earlier this year. He asked me to turn the water on and noticed the leak and said, "It appears that whoever came out the last time failed to screw the ? on correctly or they screwed it in too tight which caused the grooves in the piping to tear. He mentioned that a certain substance wasn't used that should have been used. I'm not familiar with the terminology so I can't describe in detail what he said. The picture shows the leak where the metal and the pvc connects.

They did it in a day. The communication was not very good. The price was very reasonable.

He was very responsive when we called him. He is knowledgeable and knows his business. He had the system working great when he left. We have used this company several times.

Called because I thought I had a leakage in one of my sprinkler zones. The rep determined that it was just my settings on the controller box, reset them at no charge. He also replaced a couple of leaking heads.

I've used them for over 15 years. They are reasonably priced and do a great job.

The guy that came out to run the job was a very nice man and he did a very good job with everything. I feel like I got a good deal on the work and I also have a lot of confidence in Phillips just by the way that they presented themselves. They did a great job of following up after the work was complete.

My husband & I are both gone during the day. The crew showed the day they said they would. A couple of disturbed patches of grass are the only reminants they left. The sprinkler doesn't leak and all the zones are watering again.

I called 3 companies for bids. Phillips is the only one that came when they said they would for the estimate. The price they quoted was within the range of the others, but Jeff's attitude and professionalism is what won them the job. The work was done when promised, and the workers did an outstanding job from the start of work to cleaning up afterward. They followed up a week or so later to insure we were pleased and fully understood the system. When I mentioned I was disappointed with the amount of runoff in one location that slopes, they promptly returned and replaced two heads and installed an additional sprinkler. It wasn't until this work was done and they were sure we were completely satisfied with the system that we were given the invoice to pay. We have been pleased with our decision to put in the system, especially this extra-hot summer, and particularly because Phillips made the experience so comfortable for us. All of the plants and grass love it too.

We were extremely pleased in every aspect. The only thing that I found that might be a negative was that they were a little pricey, but we contracted with them anyway because they were so professional.

Excellent. I called and explained the problem I was having and they were available to come out the day I was going to be home. That morning, they called to let me know the repairman was on his way and arriving soon. He was on time, very personable, located and repaired the problem quickly and checked the entire system. I was very pleased with the service and will call them again for any problems with my sprinkler system.

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE. WHEN I FIRST CALLED, THE WOMAN I SPOKE WITH TOLD ME HOW TO TEST MY SYSTEM TO DETERMINE WHETHER LEAK WAS ACTUALLY IN SPRINKLER SYSTEM. SHE DID THAT SO I COULD AVOID A SERVICE CALL FEE IN THE EVENT THE LEAK WAS ELSEWHERE. THEY DID THE WORK WHEN THEY SAID AND BILLED ME.

THE COMPANY WAS PROMPT WITH DEALING WITH MY PROBLEM. THE WORKER WAS ON TIME FOR APPOINTMENT AND FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. I WOULD CALL THEM BACK AGAIN IF I NEEDED THEM.

THE SPRINKLERS WERE A GOOD PRICE ( COMPARABLE ). THE WORKERS WERE PROFESSIONAL AND POLITE. THE WORK WAS COMPLETED ON TIME AS TOLD TO US. THE LAWN WAS RESTORED VERY WELL.
