N-Tex Service Company

Service Tech refused to enter my residence until I paid the service fee, as I have a home warranty plan. Then Tech spends two minutes looking at my air conditioning unit and can't decide what might be wrong with my system, so goes outside and spends 15 minutes on the phone before coming back inside and telling me it must be a "bad blower motor." Repair can't be initiated until approved by the home warranty system, which means the repairs cannot be done on that day. Next day I am called by warranty service and told that Tech reported my air filter was all clogged which put undue hardship on unit and caused motor to burn up, and voids my warranty!!! This was totally untrue, as the unit had been inspected by another service company three weeks prior! Called prior company, who came and repaired the problem immediately and advised there was nothing wrong with my filter. Was told N-Tex is known for these kind of tactics because they don't make much profit from home warranty payment schedules!!! Avoid at all cost!!!
