Do NOT use Military Movers DFW!!!! Why??? Let me count the ways....
1. They were scheduled for a 6:30pm start time and showed up about four hours late
2. It took them 2 1/2 hours to load up truck with our three bedroom apt. We had already taken 4 trips in our Expedition and everything else was ready to go in garage; It should have only have taken an hour.
3. Even after this 2 1/2 hours they could not fit all of our stuff in the truck. We had to borrow a truck the next day to get the remaining items to our new home before the apartment lease was up (grill, lawn mower, vacuums and other stuff)
4. WE get to our new house and ready to unload, right? Wrong! The movers decided to take a 15 min nap in the driveway! We finally knocked on the door of the truck and asked if we could unpack our selves.
5. We got unloaded timely, only because WE helped, but what did we find after the move was that NOT ONE piece of furniture survived the trip without some sort of scratch on it. Three big items are ruined: both headboards for master and guest beds were damaged, leather sectional sofa torn, bookcase damaged; and office chair scratched and missing roller and is nowhere to be found, etc.....
6. We paid for services, however we followed up to file a claim about the damaged property. They avoided our calls for a week straight.
8. We finally spoke with office assistant, she said the movers said WE made them pack and squish everything in the truck. Excuse me? I didn't even get everything to the d*** house! When WE helped them unload the truck we saw they had only packed the turck with boxes first, only a few boxes high...no wonder there was no room for anything. Not professional movers!!
9. Got a voicemail on June 4th saying "Movers said you made them pack everything into the truck so we are not responsible".
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
We have moved 6 times in the past five years from apartment to apartment and we have never had an issue with everything not fitting on a truck, damaged property or punctuality of movers. We are so upset and disappointed!!!! What should have been an exciting time of getting a first home, was tarnished by this experience.
What can we do about this? We will be filing a complaint with the BBB, we will be posting a review on YELP! and then following up with our bank to have the charges denied.
I need to discuss a few things regarding my recent move. Overall it was ok, but here are a few things that I need addressed..
1) The movers were 4.5 HOURS late.. I had a 9am set appointment and NO ONE called (until I made numerous calls to the 682-553 number) me to advise me of the lengthy delay. No one answered at all and when I got the voice mail, it was "full".. The girl finally called me saying "I missed a call from this number?"~ no sense of urgency at all! There was no recording saying "this is Military Movers, etc etc" and to have a full mailbox is not acceptable.. I also tried a 682-221 number, to which I got "the mailbox hasn't been set up for this number"..This is not the proper way to have a business phone. When I finally was contacted around 11am, the mover (Brandon?) said he was shortly on his way...2 hours later~ no movers.. The panic I had was insane! Finally, around 1:40, I had 3 guys show up (I believed I was originally only to have 2, so that was a blessing)..My whole issue with this was NO INITIAL ADVISEMENT on any delays and no answer on continual calls to the "business" number...
2) I had placed a king-sized mattress bag on my queen-sized Tempurpedic mattress.. The guys carried it out with this on, but when they brought it to my new apt, the bag was GONE and they had "taco'ed" up the mattress with a big rubber band type thing.. They said the bag was still in the truck and did I want it back.. NO, this is the whole point of a bag~ to PROTECT it during the move!
3) The guys mis-assembled my bed.. I know they're not in the business of assembling furniture, but it was done incorrectly and now I have to have assistance in fixing it.. Super frustrating!
Please advise on recitifications on this..
Thanks,
