I would recommend them. They did a good job. They stuck with the time scale and price they gave us. They had what seemed like a knowledgeable crew and they were nice people to work with. It did cause a little bit of dust that I wasn't expecting. They were very responsive.

I was updating the kitchen in a house that had belonged to a recently deceased relative so that I could sell it. My goal was to make it as attactive as possible on a limited budget, so that it would sell quickly in the already depressed market. The laminate countertop that Mid Cities Countertop constructed and installed was very, very nice; I was well pleased with the final product. I had first asked about solid surface versus laminate. The rep was reluctant to give me a quote on the solid surface at first, just saying that it would be too expensive. I have a bit of a problem with this kind of answer. Please let me decide if it is too expensive or not; I am, after all, the one paying the bill. Although the worksite house was to be sold, I had plans to update my own kitchen in the near future. Deciding on which laminate color/pattern was difficult, given the little teeny tiny chips that you are supposed to expand in your mind's eye to the rather large expanse of a kitchen countertop. What I ended up doing was going to a local home improvement store, which had lots of the little bitty samples, and laying 8-10 samples out together on the counters there in the store, to get a better idea of what it might look like. I took those samples of the one that I liked best there, to do the same thing in the worksite house, to ensure that the color would work there in that house with the lighting conditions there. That approach worked really well. After I called in my color choice, the countertop was constructed according to measurements taken in the initial consultation. I had had my handyman contractor install a new set of cabinets against the original kitchen cabinets to create the peninsula, and because of the way he had done that, the peninsula was wider at one end than it was at the other. The countertop did not fit at first installation attempt, and they had to take it back to the shop and make some adjustments. I really would have preferred that my handyman contractor fix his installation mistake, but it seemed that the Mid Cities Countertop folks preferred to make their adjustements instead. Slightly annoying "old boys network" attitude. I was working to get the house on the market sooner rather than later though, and the final product did look lovely. It was not at all apparent that it had to have been adjusted unless one knew where to look.

Henry came out and gave me an estimate and left me with about 200 samples to choose from. I called and ordered my countertops, and gave him my color selection. He called 6 business days later to let me know my countertops were ready . They were able to install them that same day. The office even called to let me know when the installers were loaded up and on the way to my house. The installers were very professional and friendly. Henry stopped in during the installation to make sure everything was going okay. When they showed up for the installation, the installer asked if I had a plumber coming. Guess I didn't read the estimate completely and didn't know I needed a plumber to come out to hook my sink and gas stovetop back up. They cannot perform that service, only a license plumber can do that (it was disclosed on the estimate). Luckily, I called mine and he was able to come out that same day to do it for me. The countertop installer even pointed out that my connections for the sink needed replacing, so I was able to let my plumber know before he came out. Probably saved me some time and having to make 2 appointments with the plumber.

This was a great experience! They were very quick to come out for an estimate, and were always punctual. There was a problem with one of our cabinets and it caused a lot of extra work for them when installing the new counter. They ended up staying several hours to complete the job and never charged us anything extra. We would definitely recommend this company to anyone.

It went very well and I am totally satisfied. There was one slight glitch with our dishwasher; it would not close and latch after the work was completed. We discovered this 2 days later and immediately notified them. They came out right away and fixed the problem.

They were excellent! Very responsive and courteous in our home, great turn around time from starting the job to the completion. They were very reliable and dependable and I felt like I owed them money than what I paid because of how above and beyond they went. Very clean, polite and professional and I will definitely continue to tell people about them and would highly recommend them to anyone! I was left feeling very confident about using them and I absolutely loved my experience with them!!!

MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THEM TO COME OUT, MEASURE AND QUOTE THE REQUIRED WORK. UPON ARRIVAL, THEY INFORMED ME THAT THEY HAD INSTALLED THE ORIGINAL TOPS WHEN THE HOUSE WAS BUILT IN 1978. THEY ESTIMATED THE TIME IT WOULD TAKE TO COMPLETE THE JOB AND COMPLETED ALL THE WORK REQUESTED IN A PROMPT AND EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. WE ARE DELIGHTED WITH OUR NEW KITCHEN AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND MID CITIES COUNTER TOP CO. TO EVERYONE!
