Mica Construction

After several quotes from other companies, Mica Construction was able to give us a quote within our budget for a slab we needed in our backyard. They walked us throughout the whole process so we knew what to expect while the work was being done.

HE INSTALLED A DRAINAGE SYSTEM THAT DOES NOT DRAIN. I had a flooding problem on my property. I called Carlos who said that he can provide the proper drainage for $4K. He installed a system and took my $4K. When the first rain came my property flooded again. I called him and told him about the issue. He said he would check it out. He did not and then stopped taking my calls. THIS MAN IS A CROOK. HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING. HE WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN. AVOID THIS CROOK! PS: I called a proper company who advised that his system will not work and was not what was needed on my property. He really has no idea what he is doing. He will tell with full confidence that he knows but he is clueless. AVOID!

Seems to be more of an issue with the concrete product than the workmanship. They were a great company to work with and completed the job really quickly and professionally. Concrete began to crack within a week. I am no repairing the cracks. Very concerned about long term prospects for this concrete pour.

Wrapped up the job faster than I thought they would and overall the finished product looks great!! I would definitely use them again in the future and recommend them to anyone looking for concrete work!

All work was done when scheduled. Price was fair. I would recommend them and I will use them if I have further projects. Very professional and cleaned up when thy were done. Walkway work was what I wanted and looks very nice!

Carlos did great work creating a drain in our garage floor to keep the water out.

Best concrete contractor I have ever used. Tore out my old driveway and replaced it with one day-came back to stain it a couple days later. Beautiful exposed aggregate finish. Very good price, cleaned up and left the site in great shape. Would highly recommend.

Fast and good work

This was a small job of concrete to reset my mailbox post and provide a small area of concrete. Carlos contacted me to set up an appt to give me a quote (very quick turnaround) and the work was done within a couple of days. Such fast response and great work! I would contact him again for concrete work. Thanks!

They were super professional and very flexible on making alterations prior to doing the job. I would definitely recommend they for cement patio work!!! They also do other construction work that I will definietly have them do in the future!!

Carlos came out after I got out of work and was on time I had his crew repair a crack in my driveway . He originally quoted a higher price for the job thinking it was in worse than what he thought it was a came down on the price for the job. Mica concreta was hired to perform a comercial Job. The professionalism of the company was great working with Carlos was easy and pleasant. He is knowledgeable, and is fair with his recommendations. I will definitely keep them in mind for any future projects.

Overall excellent

Carlos did not complete the job as contracted. They cut a pipe in the wall and had to repair.This extended the estimated time for the job. No dust collection equipment was used during sawing and grinding. He failed to seal off the HVAC return air register and now My house is full of HAZMAT concrete dust. They failed to perform any cleanup of the living room they were working in and now we are living in a TOXIC environment. The cost to clean up my whole house, HVAC blower, evaporator coil and ducting will far exceed what I paid Carlos to partially perform the work and I will still have to hire another contractor to complete the job. The last day of the job Carlos kept commenting on how He was not going to make money and was in huge rush to get out.The true measure of a reputable business is how they handle a job when things go wrong. Advice to user of Home advisor, before signing a contract verify that the contractor has a legitimate website/business/state registered LLC. Carlos has none, after the fact. This not the first time I have been disappointed with Home Advisor Services.
