Metroplex Climate Control

He told me that my compressor was over 30 years old and shouldn't have lasted this long and now it was going to need to be replaced. He went up into the attic and said that the coils were dirty and that the ductwork was bad and that I probably should get a whole new system since it was so old, and it wouldn't work with the new equipment anyway.
He said he would have the owner call me by 3:30 the next day and make an appointment to come give me a bid for a new system, and that he was good at working with AHS, and that they would pay for the compressor. I called them at 5 pm the next day and they said that the owner was very busy and would call me first thing in the morning. The next day at 5 pm, I called and she said he was very busy and she had a new computer system and didn't have my information. She took my information and said he would call be in the next couple of days. Well, it's been 3 business days since then, and I still haven't heard from him.
Meanwhile, AHS called me and told me they would not be paying for the compressor because the tech said the only reason it failed was because of poor maintenance - a 30+ year old compressor??? Needless to say, I am furious with Metroplex Climate Control and AHS. I have had my warranty for 9 years just for this occasion, and now I am on my own for a total new HVAC system. If someone would call me, I sure the heck would like to know what is going on...I left a message for the tech to call me with information, but I've yet to hear from anyone at Metroplex Climate Control.

They're very good, I'd recommend them to anybody. Ever since we had the units put in and he comes when we have an issue or we do our yearly filter changes and check-ups, they're always here. They always send out the same guy so it's always the same guy every time and I love it. I would really recommend them to anybody. We spent a lot of money on it but we have a 3,000 square foot home and we did it right, they were very good, they were very professional and the always send the same guy, his name is Nick and he's very nice and we love them. We had several bids and theirs were kind of in the middle.

Thirty-three year old furnace stopped working correctly. I thought it was a fan limit switch or the blower. First man who was sent out was very nice and tried hard but he couldn't figure it out without calling someone. He stayed a couple of hours. He put a new capacitor on and left. When furnace shut off, it didn't come back on. I called the next day.
They said they would come back. I had a friend come to house while I was at work.
Second man came to house and ended up taking the whole blower assembly with him and said I would get a call. I was aggravated because he didn't call me to tell me what he was doing, he just took it. I didn't wait for a call because it was Friday and called company and was told it would probably be a week to get parts. It was cold but some friends loaned me two heaters and I managed to get house up to about 60 degrees. To my delight they came back on Tuesday, installed the new blower motor and everything has worked fine. This was second man and he did answer all my questions but had to be asked.
I have decided to overlook the aggravation due to the age of the furnace and the fact that they did get it fixed with me only having to undergo one cold weekend.

Called AHS to report that my furnace was making a WHINING noise. Nick came out and we went over everything. I had just pruchased this home and was not familiar with how it all worked. He was very patient and instructed me on all the parts. I knew that I needed a new outside unit so I asked him for an estimate. HE worked me up one to replace the whole system and to insulate my attic. He was never pushy or overbearing. He even waited while I checked with another a/c guy who happend to be a good friend. I was very impressed with how nice and helpful he was.
I finally aggreed that I wanted to just bite the bullet and get it all installed. He had someone out there by the end of the week.
They guys showed up on time and they were there from about 10am to 7pm. They did an excellent job on the install....I was very impressed with how much they paid attention to details. I am very glad that I took the leap and spent the money and used this company.

They are great. They are quick to respond and do a great job. Their prices are reasonable. I guess they are well priced because if they weren't, my husband would not be using them. The workers who came out were great. They were courteous, professional and really knowledgeable.

They have done great work for us. Whenever we used them, they have got the job done excellent. The price is reasonable. I would pretty much use them exclusively in the future.

Bids from other HVAC companies said that repair would not be possible since the unit had an integrated internal pan that was corroded and therefore, the entire unit needed to be replaced. RJ explained that the internal pan was plastic, and therefore was still in good condition ( no rust ). Rather than an entire new unit, they serviced the existing unit, and installed a new external overflow pan. Savings vs other bid of more than $1000. I am a general contractor, and I now use Metroplex Climate control for all of my HVAC work.

Company was sent out by Home Warranty...Took 72 hours to come, came VERY late, asked inappropriate questions (what job do you have to afford this kinda place?), said we needed a part and they would call w expected completion date...would not return calls for 1 wk. ...That means 2 weeks without good a/c. Had to cancel out of town company. Even $60 did not feel like a good deal.

I noticed my neighbor had just installed a new heating and ac unit AND I know all the houses were built about the same time. RJ is the ONLY one we would ever call. We have used him in the past and since we know little to nothing about our unit...this opens us up to unscrupulous contractors. He has always been VERY thorough, honest and reasonable with his prices (how important is that in our current economic climate?). We have called when we've had no heat and he has worked us in the same day. I called him and decided I was going to need another unit and wanted to be proactive, instead of wait till it cratered and then in a panic to get a new one installed. I didn't even ask for a second bid because I trust him... he has earned it. He informed me that it had a rebate. He showed up on the agreed date and did everything in one day, and did it right. He has the highest standards of workmanship of anybody I have ever known!
