McGlory Fence Stain & Seal

It was really good.  He came on a Sunday to do it.  What he did was good.  I will tell other people to go with him because he is good.  Even my neighbours get him, two of my neighbors used him also.   

His price is fair.

Robert McGlory did a wonderful job of cleaning and staining our fence. He was very knowledgeable and really took time to help us know what color would be best. He came out right away to give an estimate; then came again quickly to clean the fence. It did take him longer than expected to return and stain the fence. But it was Spring and he was very busy and we were not in a hurry. He does all the work himself. There was a small problem after the work was completed, but he came right back out and corrected it. Our fence looks great and we are very pleased with his work.

Robert came in and performed all services as promised. However, our fence had bleached marks from our sprinklers. Robert suggest we wait a couple weeks to see how the stain took to the fence. You could however, see where the marks were from the sprinklers. 23Oct I called and left Robert a voice message about the stain marks still being visible. Robert responded he had been laid up for a week with a bad back. He requested I send photos which I did on 24Oct. Robert responded it would be a few weeks before he could get there because of the rain.19Nov I sent Robert a text inquiring if he would be out. He stated that he had just gotten back from a weeks vacation and the afternoon prior his mom and been taken to the ICU. He stated I was on his schedule and he would do everything to complete the task before Thanksgiving. 3Dec I texted Robert to see if he would be out because the weather looked good. He said he had a big job in Mansfield but if he got done early he would contact me. I inquired how long would I have to wait since I already paid him for the work. Robert stated it was a matter of time and weather for him to do his service work. He said he cancelled his Thanksgiving trip to his brothers to take advantage of the nice weather. He said he even had a customer let him work on Thanksgiving day. He further said he had 5 more fences to do and he would then be caught up. He said he had not been in my area or if he had, he would have taken care of my fence. He thanked me for being understanding I responded I was trying to understand but he had time to go on vacation and do 5 other fences. I asked him to give me $100.00 back and walk away. I also told him I was thinking of filing a private complaint against him at this point. He said he agreed to come out to satisfy me and that my fence was an older fence. He said he would spray stain on it in a few weeks. He said the reason I had the problem was that the fence was older but he would be in touch. I texted him 13Feb and 9Apr. Still nothing. I feel now that I must file a privated civil complaint against Robert for not completing the job. Sorry, I would not recommend Robert to anyone. Oh, my fence may be older but it is in good shape for a higher end cedar fence.

Robert provided an estimate on the day promised. The final price for the fence matched the estimate. He recommended a stain color choice that would match our neighbors, done by a competitor that took four attempts to return my call. The competitor did recommend Robert for the work, because he was not sure when he would be doing more work in Fort Worth. I think we got the better deal than our neighbors. While doing the work Robert was very professional. He let us know that we could run our sprinkler system in the pm because the stain was oil based and would not wash off. Were the fence came in close contact to the home he hand finished the areas that could not be sprayed. He let us know the maintenance that would need to be done on our fence for the future.
He asked for permission before placing a sign on our fence showing his contact information. Which I'm proud to display.

He runs a professional operation. He accesses the entire the project and provides an accurate dollar amount estimate. The workmanship is excellent. There was damage on our fence that Robert discovered and subsequently fixed at no extra charge.
