He called 20 minutes after first appointment time due to "stuck in traffic." When he got here, told me the pitch would have to be raised and the action pulled out. He would return a week later to finish. Estimate was about $386. Told him I just wanted to have it tuned for right now, and he became somewhat angry and even implied I was wasting his time. He raised the pitch and charged me $70. Piano was still not in tune, so I scheduled for him to finish. He pulled action on Friday and said he would return the following Monday at 4. Called me at 5 and said he had been moving pianos and got "stuck in traffic." Rescheduled for next day. Never said "sorry" or "I apologize." Put the piano back together and tuned it on Tuesday. One key still clicks, another is out of tune. Most glaring of all, did not replace a missing string we talked about. Overall lack of customer service and people skills. From now on I will only use members of Piano Technicians Guild, regardless of cost.
Description of Work: Serviced 1982 Baldwin spinet piano, which I recently purchased used. Tech raised pitch and then did final tuning about 10 days later. He also removed the action and did some work on it at his shop.
