MARKHAM ELECTRIC SUPPLY CO

I can see this provider has no reviews, probably because no one has used them. First I want to make clear that I did not use them, call them for any service. I had called them in the past for estimates and they had not called back but didn't really care since I found another provider. But I believe that part of the purpose of Angie's list is who highlight the integrity and courtesy of the company that may provide a service whether or not you end up using them, because of this I feel an obligation to tell this story. As I was driving I-30 today one of their trucks had a blow out, the truck was able to function since it was a dually so it had two tires in the back. The inside tire blew out and hit the side of my new car, it made quick a bang so I could only image the worst. The driver slowed down and made his way to the side shoulder as did i to check to see if there was any damage. I had my hazards on, and as I made my way to the shoulder I ended up in front of the truck, as I slowed down the driver of the Markham Electric truck decided he wasn't going to stop and went around me and took off. At first I thought he just wanted to get off the highway to a safer spot, but when he did get off the highway he kept going, north on Sylvannia, even though I had my hazards on, honked and waved for him to pull over he ignored me and kept going. He couldn't get away because of traffic. I called the police and told them the situation, I followed the truck to the Markham shop where his fellow employees were waiting, he drove the truck straight into the garage and shut the door, as I drove up I got out and asked why he didn't stop, he was running into the building, he stopped have me a dirty look, when I told him on was on the phone with the police he ran inside. When I turned around another employee was yelling at me to move my car and then he ran inside too. The owner and the employees hid inside the building and kept checking to see if I was gone. The police finally arrived and I waved for them to come out. The driver was rude and felt he didn't have an obligation to stop and totally unreasonable, the other folks, an older gentlemen that may have been the owner and another that looked like a manager did not offer any help or apologize for their driver's rudeness. I n the end I told them it is common courtesy to stop and check to see if there was any damage, and that was all I was trying to do, he was going to stop, saw me stopping but then changed his mind and took off. Then his whole company hid like cowards in the office. I could only come to the conclusion that the driver was doing something illegal and the company wasn't complying with the law in some way. This goes back to the reason for this post, this company did not show any courtesy, integrity and take any responsibility for their actions so it would be difficult to image they take any responsibility for their work.
