I bought a new counter top and back splash from Lowe’s a few weeks ago. Irving Counter Tops did the counter top and Sun Carpet did the back splash. Everything went great with the counter top. The product was exactly as expected and the install was smooth with no problems. Irving Counter Top did a fantastic job. The back splash is different story. The product was fine but the install was terrible. Sun Carpet’s installer showed up about 945am and spent a good 45 min in the first 2 hours on his phone texting and talking. I had to ask twice if we were waiting on something so he could continue removing the old tile. Then, I find out I was supposed to remove the vent hood, so I called Lowe’s. Of course there it was, on page 3 of 5 in my paperwork. The Lowe’s rep said “well I always read everything before I sign…” Yeah, that was my fault, but what a snarky and unprofessional comment. The installer takes a 2 hour lunch break from 1145-145pm. I had to call Sun Carpet to find out where he went. He finally finishes the removal of the old tile and gets the primer on the wall. But he mixed the primer in a flowerbed and gets the stuff all over the plants. The next day, he takes another 2-hour lunch break but around 6pm is finally doing the cleanup. I received a phone call telling me the installer dug up one of my plants and put it in his van. When I confront him on it, he says he broke the plant while pouring out his bucket of dirty water. This is a lie. the area he stole from had no residue from pouring out his dirty water. I kick him out and call Sun Carpet who is closed by this time. So I call Lowe’s and report the problem. They have never even followed up and this even was over a week ago now. I even sent an e-mail through the main website with no follow up. This is not good customer service. Lowe’s did a poor job vetting a vendor who I let into my home and who stole from me then lied about it. I spoke with Sun Carpet manager the next day and he is believing his installer even though the evidence does not support the installer’s lies. Sun Carpet did send out a couple of guys to make sure the tile was complete and clean up some of the other guy’s mess, although I did 90% of the cleanup. I am angry and dismayed Lowe’s has not called or e-mailed or responded in any manner to my concerns. I did report the theft to the police although they said a full police report was not necessary. Just calling and getting on the police blotter was enough. Make your own decision about using Lowe’s and Sun Carpet, but this was my experience with them.

We have not done anything with the windows. They gave us a written estimate and it was pretty fair. We were just not ready to switch out the windows at that point. I liked everything about them. They were prompt and they showed up when they said that they were going to show up. They were very professional and they answered all my questions. They did everything that they were supposed to do.

They followed up to make sure everything has taken place as we wanted it to. They asked to make sure that the installer was on time and that they did a good job. Everything was arranged and all that kind of stuff.

I remembered Lowes from when they had installed my fence two years prior.
I called to get a quote on installing a raised deck. They remembered everything about my home so it was easy to explain what I wanted and where. It just took them minutes to give me up to the minute quote that was a better price than I thought it would be. I did not have the deck built at that time but it is still something I will have done as soon as I can and I will definitely go to Lowes!

Fantastic! Could not ask for better service or product.
I live on the side of a hill so my back yard is not flat or even. The fence is very sturdy, attractive, and was installed quickly. I have sense called them about installing a deck. Fast and accurate quotes - even if no purchase is made.

I HAD TO ORDER CARPET AND IT TOOK TOO LONG. ALSO CHARGED ME TO SHIP CARPET SINCE IT WAS NOT AVAILABLE IN STORE. INSTALLERS COULD NOT SPEAK ENGLISH.
