The service before the experience was positive. An estimator contacted me beforehand and answered all my questions. It only took one day to complete the job, and cleanup was done after the job was completed. A quality control person came after the job to check that everything had been completed to my satisfaction and to their specifications. All steps could not have gone better.

Communication leading up to the repair was excellent; the foreman explained the process well before they began; the workers were respectful and hard-working for two solid days until it was completed; and their internal inspection was transparent, quickly fixing the minor issues leftover.

They did a complete and professional job from start to finish. Excellent customer service. Work was on time with no issues. The crew did a great job of installing the roof, disposing of the old roof and cleaning up afterwards.

Gary Martin (sales rep) found numerous items that my insurance company and another roofing company did not find with their inspection. Overall, I was very pleased with their work and Gary's attention to detail and persistence with dealing with the insurance company.

Great Job. Sam Morgan and his team were very helpful. They answered all of my questions. They even answered questions the insurance company had for me. They cleaned up yard after they came and you would have never know they had ever been there if i had not seen them.

It was great, they put the roof on in a timely manner. They answered any and all of my questions about the progress, what the items on their invoice meant. Very helpful in explaining pricing and how the process would work. They even helped me with dealing with the insurance company directly with the final bill.

They were quick to bid the project and I signed a contract agreeing to the work and was expecting a roof relatively soon. Several weeks had past and I hadn't heard a word so I called my salesman and only voicemail and never a return call. Finally called the office to figure out what was going on to only find out the salesman had quit and never turned In my paperwork. So we started the process all over again and to the back of the line it seemed. Roof went on quickly and with anything that is rushed, the roof was done poorly. The first rain I had multiple leaks and decking was installed without tech shield. They came out after about a month and fixed the decking but nothing was done to the leaks around flashing and vent stacks. After about three months of calling and promises that it would be taken care of I finally took matters into my own hands and fixed what I could. A quality control guy finally showed up and to fix a few concerns and I was promised it was taken care of this time. But nope the last rain I had leaking again..... I would not recommend this company to anyone! They use sub contractors and I question if they really knew what the **** they are doing at least the crew I had on my job. Very dissatisfied and regret my decision to use them

Based on referral from realtor & reviews I went with Lon Smith. From the first contact everything went just as I was told. Received salesperson Ryan whom is knowledgeable, patient/detail going over everything twice so I can make sure I understood. Upfront HONEST explained lapse of time for work date. Process well explained pretty much took care of everything n kept me informed as well. Crew stopped work due to seaver lighting storm n of course I wanted them of my roof due to their own safety. Crew waited in their cars for about 4 hours while storm passed to continue work. I thought they would have left for the day and would reschedule to finish work another day. So to me this speaks highly about the crew and the company they represent. Their inspector Andrew did a walk thur check of attic n roof to make sure everything I was told got done n correctly to my satisfaction. Great quality work. I contacted Lon Smith based on website and reviews. Quote: - The estimator arrived when scheduled. - He examined and measured the roof to determine costs. - He discussed vent improvements that were recommended. Also, referring me to manufactures recommendations. (i was able to confirm these recommendations via shingle supplier websites) - Provided a printed detailed quote for replacing my roof. Contract: - the estimate was updated to reflect shingle choice and a couple of minor changes. - At the time we signed the contract the lead time estimate was 4 weeks. Installation - about 3 weeks after signing the contract work was scheduled - the crew and material arrived at 7am on the day scheduled. - The installation was completed that evening. After installation - the Lon smith inspector returned to check vent connections in the attic and the quality of the crew's work. No issues were found. - The yard , shrub beds, and driveway were all clean and no nails or trash found. Notes: I have seen several neighbor's have their roofs take 2 days to replace. I also see numerous houses with roofer's signs in their yards that have been there since before I requested the original quote.

Lon Smith, starting from the contractor, customer service, office staff, to the crew that completed the work were all professional, extremely courteous and did an outstanding job. I will not hesitate to call them again for a major job.

Lon Smith Roofing was amazing! We own a rental home in Fort Worth and needed a new roof. We live in the Austin area and don't get a lot of time to drive to the home. Lon Smith Roofing gave us a bid, matched the insurance quote, did the work and clean up, and only needed one trip up for us to sign off on the work. I would recommend them to any of our friends and family.

The roofing job was scheduled in a timely manner and as scheduled, the crew showed up first thing that morning and got to work.

Lon Smith installed a beautiful Spanish-style concrete tile room when our house was constructed in 2012. This spring (more than three years later) we returned from a trip and found a mysterious ceiling leak. Chuck Clary came promptly to diagnose the damage and discovered several broken tiles, apparently from some object that had fallen on the roof. His crew arrived a few days and replaced the tiles - perfect match with only the clean new surface to show the difference from the old tiles. The charge was very reasonable in spite of the expired warranty.

My roof was severely damaged by the baseball size hail we recived in Wylie, TX. I contacted Lon Smith roofing who had previously reroofed a house for me in Garland. The reroof was to consist of replacing both the decking and shingles over the entire roof. The crew was supposed to being work on a Friday. I received a call on the prior Thursday informing me that the crew could not make it on Friday as they were held up with problems on the current roof job. That was OK with me, this occurs frequently with this type of work. On Moday the crew showed up as expected and begin removing the old shingles. Around noon I heard sounds of nailing and went outside to discover that they were laying down felt over the current decking. I immediately stopped them and called Lon Smith’s office to inform them of the problem. At this point the new decking had not arrived at my residence. I spoke with Lon Smith’s office and spoke with them regarding the decking. I later received a voice mail stating that the decking would arrive by 12:30. I contacted there office again to make sure that the correct decking, ½ in CVT with Radiant Barrier, was be delivered. They were unaware that I had special ordered CVT decking. They did not have the decking I had ordered and could not find a local distributor who had it in stock. By this time another storm was coming in and would arrive around 3:00 p.m. They immediately began covering the roof with felt to prevent any water damage. They had not completely got the structure covered when the rain hit and I had leaks in my kitchen and my office. I was able to avoid further water damage by placing buckets in my attic. They were unable to continue work on Tuesday as had not been able to get the decking. Work continued on Wednesday. They removed all the old decking, replaced it, and covered it with felt. After a rocky start they did finally complete work on Thursday. When they left several vents in my attic were not connected properly to the vent flashing. The inspector came on Friday and in the process of checking out the attic vents discovered that one of the roofers had stepped through the soffit. He wrote up a work order detailing all of the needed repairs. It would be another week before all repairs were made. The crew which fixed the damage to the paint in my kitchen did a poor job. They did not fix the texture where it was damaged and I had to put another coat of paint over the area in the kitchen which was stained. Pros: They replace a dryer vent on my roof with a different model which was suggested by the estimator. The new vent is great. They also suggest removing the damaged rain guttering before putting on the new shingles which allows the drip flashing to seat better. The roof looks great and the work is very professional. I have had no leaks. All in all in was a very frustrating ordeal. I will not use them again. Most of the problems were with the front office which reflect the poor rating. I felt like I was supervising the job. I was constantly having to call them find out what was going on. The job was to take 3 days but I had to take an entire week of vacation.

All went well they installed everything mention in the bid. The work was done once the rains stooped and allowed them the chance to get on top of the house. I was happy with the work it no longer rain in my garage. The guys that preformed the work worked so hard that during one of the days it got so hot that one guy would not stop but worked during extreme heat conditions until he was forced to take a break.They clean up all materials left everything neat and clean.
