Lawrence Air Conditioning

We had an issue with one of our HVAC dampers, and we were calling around to get quotes from various different companies. Lawrence Air Conditioning and Heating was just one of the companies that we called. When I spoke to them initially, they never mentioned that there would be a service call fee. Because some of the other companies that we called to come out didn't charge a service call fee, we assumed that they didn't charge either since they never mentioned it. When I spoke to the lady answering the phone once more about the invoice to let her know that we were never told that they would be charging a fee for a service call, she angrily stated, "Did you think it was supposed to be free?", I stated that there were some companies that did not charge, she then stated, "Well...we're not one of those companies". I really don't think this part of the conversation was necessary, and I believe that a business should be transparent from the start, and not try strong arm you at the very end.

They arrived when they said they would, removed my old system, installed the new system and cleaned up after themselves all in about 2.5 hours. Very impressed with Lawrence Air Conditioning and would Highly recommend to any one needing a new unit or a service call to fix an existing system.

You have many choices for A/C but I HIGHLY recommend at least giving Dan a call. Unlike almost every other company, he (and his son) came out and quoted the job and completed the work themselves. Dan has been in the industry forever and worked with me for quite a while to explain my different options. I do not feel like he tried to up sell me, and he was very low pressure throughout the whole process. He has great ethics and was honest and respectful throughout the process, and if I called him, he would either answer or get right back. His pricing was in the middle of my quotes, but for something this important, get someone who not only knows, but really seems to care!

Overall, Mr. Dan Lawrence is a pleasure to work with.  He is honest and trustworthy and fair in his estimating of what needs to be done and for a good price.  I know I can trust what he says and that if something needs to be replaced, he'll do it and if it doesn't need replacing he won't try to sweeten his own pot at my expense.  What a blessing to find an AC guy you can trust.  I would recommend Dan Lawrence to anyone looking for a reputable and honest AC technician.  We have asked Dan out each year to check our AC system and give it an annual checkup.  Continues to run well.
