Time line:6-Jun: Ms. Pritchard's first contact by phone, within less than one hour after receiving my e-mail for request.11-Jun: First visit by Ms. Pritchard. Discussed a plan for sale in detail. A real professional, very good impression; pleasing to talk with.Listing in MLS.22-Jun: First potential buyer's visit; turned around because the garage of the house had been converted to a den (before my times in the house). Ms. Pritchard called shortly afterwards and apologized.5-Jul, 6-Jul: Potential buyers' visit.11-Jul: Potential buyer's visit; looked promising; he came up with a proposal on 14-Jul.25-Jul, 27-Jul: Other potential buyers' visit; also, potential buyer who had made the proposal, comes by again, on 27-Jul.7-Aug: Potential buyer who made the proposal withdrew the offer (he wanted me to be out of the house earlier than I could manage). Ms. Pritchard came by in the evening with a proposal from another, promising potential buyer (he offered a bit higher price than the one who backed out.12-Aug: draft of contract from buyer, "earnest money" check.13-Aug: buyer's inspector to check the house; took 3 1/2 hours; buyer joined towards the end, to hear the details.20-Aug: title company needs a will of my wife, or heirship affidavit. Ms. Pritchard soothed my concerns.26-Aug: Ms. Pritchard was able to get all five kids together, to sign the affidavit.28-Aug: "Disinterested Parties" (two of our neighbors) sign the affidavit. We would highly recommend him. He is a buying specialist. He was very patient and was willing to look at as many homes as we wanted to see. He wanted to make sure that we were completely satisfied and that we weren't rushed in making decisions that were not well thought out. We provided him with a list of criteria and a list of wants and wishes. He did an amazing job of putting together a large list of homes that we could look at that met our criteria. He spent two whole days looking and searching and then in the coming weeks negotiating a contract. He was responsive and very professional. He was a good person to work with and we would highly recommend him.
