"We at Jacobs Electrical Repairs ,are sorry you were not completely 100% satisfied. However if you look closely at the advertised price of $165.00 (for GFCI outlet installed within 5ft from existing circuit) , you received a much better deal . On the first outlet, we had to dig out of the ground poorly installed conduit, make the needed repairs and replace the circuit .(75 FEET !) On the second outlet, there was no existing circuit ! We installed A NEW LINE 40 FEET thru the attic, back into the electrical panel and installed a new breaker. And finally on the third outlet, we installed Rigid conduit 40 FEET back to the boat parking area. (2 men 8 hrs) All of this for an additional cost of $103.00 . (No labor charge, just the cost of material !!!) P.S. The other advertised deal is $235.00 for 2 hours of LABOR only. (4 X $235.00 = $940.00 plus materials ! We charged you $598.00 parts and labor. Again , We sincerely apologize for not making you 100% happy. Sincerely, Saul Flores, Master Electrician onsite."
Pricing was fair and work done to my complete satisfaction. Will recommend to all my friend and colleagues.
Saul at Jacob's repair arrived at 8:57am for a 9:00am appointment to repair a bathroom light fixture. The problem was quickly diagnosed and fixed in less than 15 minutes. Saul is very friendly and professional. I will definitely use him again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Saul prefers to provide service to residential customers. He considers a condominium building, such as I live in, as a commercial building rather than a residential building, which surprised me. He honored the coupon but planned to remove it due to confusion over "residential." I checked above that I would not use this provider in the future because of this company's preference to work only in single family residential situations.
"[member name removed] we do Industrial, Commercial and "Residential" service calls. The Texas & Pacific Passenger Terminal Building is not what is considered as a house or residence. The subjects of reserved parking as well as having to check in and use of service elevators to access work area are not associated with a residential house call. In addition to Honoring the coupon price, we removed the extension rod from existing fan and installed it on your new ceiling fan, (Reg. $29.00) - Installed a remote transceiver , (Reg.$39.00) Removed a existing wall switch and installed a new remote switch ,(Reg. 98.00) per your request , at no Additional cost. We are sorry we were not able to make you completely happy."
I would hire him back without hesitation, and recommend him to friends.
I didn't read his ad carefully the first time, to notice that there would be a diagnostic fee (that is, he does not do free estimates), but this is clearly part of his advertised policy, so, seems fair in the end.
"Thank you . Your review of our service is very much appreciated. I do apologize for the misunderstanding regarding the diagnostic fee. The original phone request was for an estimate. This was done at no charge. However when a request to troubleshoot an electrical problem is made, a diagnostic fee is charged as advertised . Best regards, Saul, Master Electrician."
Was concerned about both electrical outlets in the master bath. Noticed a burned spot on one outlet cover.
Checked Angie's List and really liked what I read about Saul from Jacob's Electrical Repair. I called and he answered right away. I explained the situation and he said he was just finishing up another call and would come right away. He arrived promptly and worked quickly to diagnose the problem, describing everything he was doing in terms I could easily understand. I was very impressed with his professionalism and expertise. I also thought the price was very fair. Will definitely use him again and will recommend him to others.Licensing
