+ -1 moreBoth jobs were handled in a professional manner. We were given estimates before the jobs were begun and chose to have him do the work. We were very pleased with the results. We would hire him again to do remodeling.
Description of Work: 1. First job was remodeling a storage area into a sewing room and remodeling a laundry room in which both areas had previous water damage. He made sure that we did not have any mold before beginning any work. He sealed walls and floor before adding bead board paneling. He even sealed the outside brick. The area has not leaked since he worked on it. 2. Second job was putting safety railing around our front porch and down the steps. He did not buy precut railing. He cut, welded, and painted the railing that he installed.

+ 10 moreThe painting and crown moldings were professionally done. Not happy with the hardwood floors as Pergo was installed and not the quality I had discussed with Mr. Hughes. A licensed electrician should have been hired for some of the work. Some of the switches did not work properly after the job was completed. The front door never was caulked and the back screen door does not fit and will not lock. The total job took longer than expected. Some of this was due to Mr. Hughes and some of his crew working at other jobs.
Description of Work: Mr. Hughes completely remodeled the inside of my home. Estimates were obtained and agreed upon. Estimate is for labor only. Removed popcorn ceilings and painted the entire house. Crown moldings were put in all rooms. Replaced all door handles and installed several ceiling fans. Removed carpet in all of the home. Mexican tile was cleaned and sealed and hardwood was installed in the bedrooms. A new front door/storm door and back screen door were installed. Some faucets were replaced. A coat of stain was applied to the deck. Some additional improvements were added as work went along.
