I prefer to hire small business people. For reasons I can't remember I eschewed the Angie's List contacts. Ector was recommended by a friend. He specializes in roof repairs and dormers. I don't know what "got into me" but when I called him and Fort Worth was iced in, as a joke, I DEMANDED that he come over right away! He just laughed, told me he'd hook up the sled dog and be right over.
As it happened he was over-extended and I had to wait a couple of weeks but his work was outstanding! He even replaced my neighbor's gutter at a discounted price because he was going to be here anyway. Right now we're working on a new quote for my 70-year old exterior window sills.
The one thing he elicits from me is the feeling that I can trust him. If someone is looking for a good craftsman whom they can trust, I recommend Ector Fabela.
