These guys did a great job!!! Initially they cut down a big tree and used a stump grinder on the stump and roots in the back yard. This was the in spring of 2012.. The following summer I delt with a lot of sprouts growing that looked like it was from some roots they missed. I kept putting off calling them to come grind the remaining roots. I finally called in late fall 2013. I fully expected to pay because it had been so long. When they showed up, they realized that they missed some roots and the stump hadn't been ground down far enough. So when the guy shows up, I ask him to grind a stump and roots in the front yard (different than the tree they did previously). After finishing the front yard, we moved to the backyard. He must've been there three hours. When i pulled out my checkbook, he said and quot;NO CHARGEand quot;!!!! Great company, great people!!!!

These guys were great to work with. When they came out, they gave me an estimate on the work which involved removing 2 doors, re-hanging an old door in one of the and building out a new door to install an electronic dog door and some windowing.
They also refurbished the door which was replaced to improve the weather-stripping.
They did a great job with the work, and were better than their estimate in terms of the time it took. While I wish it would have cost less, I did shop around, and their prices were competitive. The service was excellent.

Called and spoke to someone who had the service person call right back. They gave an approximate time they would arrive and they were on time. Worked on both doors until they worked well. Super fast response, quick work and good price.

They responded very quickly, but we ended up going with another contactor just because they were highly recommended by a friend.

Door Doctor Reps were courteous and worked efficiently. They were knowledgeable and got the job done quickly and well. Prices were reasonable and their response time was great. We didn't have to wait around to get it working right again.

They did a good job. They were on time and the guy knew what he was doing so he was able to do it very quickly. Not everyone knows how to fix doors--our handyman tried and tried but couldn't do it-- but this guy was done within 30 minutes.

the first worker i spoke with said the highest amount would be $189 and that would only be if he had to adjust the entire frame and the exterior storm door frame. i told him only the one portion of the front door frame needed adjustment and he told me it would be significatntly less in that case; probably less that $100. i called a week in advance to make sure i could get a morning appt on the following tuesday morning. the worker said that wasn't a problem and that he would call me on monday (the day before) to set the actual appt. by 3pm monday, i had not heard back so i called the main number. another worker called back and said there was a $89 service call fee on top of the labor charges for the actual work and that the minimum cost would be $172 for one hour of work. i told the guy who i initally spoke with and what i was told and he said he would cut me a break since that's what i was told. a third guy showed up to do the work. the work was completed. now there is a larger gap at the top of the door and the appropriate amount of space at the bottom of the door. the top part of the frame was adjusted too much so i had to buy weather stripping to fill the gap. i was charged 172 for less than an hour of work. won't use this company again. no discount for using angie's list. all workers are contracted out which is probably why there is so much confusion when trying to book appt's and apparently such a discrepency in the price.

Our front door had been sticking (due to foundation problems that we are getting fixed soon) but all of a sudden it wouldn't close at all. I called Door Doctor and they had Spencer call me back. He originally said he would be here in about 2-2.5 hours. It was actually about 4 hours before he finally made it, though he did call me a couple of times to let me know he had been delayed and update his ETA.

Once he arrived he looked the door over and suggested a couple of things he could try. He immediately understood that we wanted a and quot;quick and dirtyand quot; fix rather than a complete overhaul since we will probably have to do it all over again once the foundation is fixed. He tried using a mallet to flatten the sill plate slightly, but that wasn't enough. So he removed the door frame and took off the bottom metal trim. He still didn't think that was sufficient to be sure to hold us until the foundation is done, so he also sanded some off the bottom of the door. The door closes easily now.

We both thought it was all done. I paid him and he headed out. I shut the door, then tried to lock it. Only then did I realize the door had shifted so much it wouldn't lock. Thankfully Spencer was still at his truck. He came back in and looked at it. It had shifted enough (and the door jamb had been worked on enough) that he actually had to chisel out some more of the jamb to allow him to lower the strike plates enough. He worked on it for another 15 minutes to get the lock working, for no extra charge.

I was quite happy with the service overall. Once we get the foundation done we will probably be calling Spencer back out to fix it all for good.

WE WERE AMAZED AT THE EASE THE SLIDING OF OUR DOOR NOW HAS AND HOW FAST IT CAN SLIDE NOW. WE WERE ALSO IMPRESSED IN HOW FAST THEY WERE ABLE TO REPAIR THIS DOOR! IT WAS A MATTER OF MINUTES. WE WISHED WE HAD CALLED THEM YEARS AGO.
