First time Angie's List user here. I like the process but I must say that the provider was awful. The problem/issue was diagnosed incorrectly twice. After two service calls and no resolution, I researched the www and identified a solution to the problem which I passed on to the provider and he ultimately used my diagnosis to repair the problem. I was asked to pay for (and did) the extra parts (and labor) that he installed due to his incorrect diagnosis of the problem. The end result was the amount I paid for the service was greater than the cost of a new unit. I had little choice as I had to take time off of work in order to be at the house for his third service call. He had the nerve to refer to me as the "guinea pig" customer; meaning he learned how to repair my model of washer on my dime(s).
Also, the reassembly of the unit was terrible. The unit was always relatively quite prior to the repair. After the repair, not so much.
I'm surprised by the level of service provided. I had not previously heard of any "nightmare" stories associated with AL. I guess I'm the guinea pig for that too.
