"[member name removed], I appreciate you submitting a review. However, the information you reported is incorrect and I would like to ensure that you understand the actual occurrence of events. In addition, while I was working at your home on June 7, 2014, you stated that you were recently in disputes with your lawn man, mail man, doctor, psychiatrist, and pharmacist. You stated that you fired all of the above providers, with the exception of your mail man, since you were unable to fire him. While we were working in your garage, you quickly shut your garage door when you heard the mail truck, and explained that you now hide from your mail man. Your statements and actions lead me to believe that you have a history of unsuccessful working relationships with service providers. I hope that my below explanation helps you understand our recent interactions, and helps you recognize that your review is inaccurate. On Saturday, June 7, 2014, you contacted my company and asked us to come out because “half of [my] house is not working.” We explained that, since it was a weekend, you would be charged our after-hours service rate. You agreed to this amount, and I came to your house. I found an incorrectly wired outlet in your garage, which was affecting the hall bathroom and garage. You explained that you hired a handyman to originally install the outlet, and described this previous handyman as “incompetent.” I fixed the outlet, and then installed a GFCI circuit breaker in your panel to protect the garage circuit. Everything that I worked on was completed per code, and was functioning properly. You stated to me that you were “very pleased” with the work I completed. On Sunday, June 22, 2014, you called my company three times and stated that you were attempting to change out your porch light by yourself. You asked for free advice on how to change the light. I recommended that you hire a licensed electrician to assist. You were persistent on wanting to change the light by yourself, and I recommended that you turn off all breakers before attempting to work on anything electrical in your home. You did this, and then were not able to figure out how to turn the breakers back on. Although I attempted to assist you again over the phone, you were not able to turn the breakers on. I offered to come to your home for a service call. I explained our weekday rate, as well as our after-hours service rate. You believed that the porch light issue was connected to the work that I previously completed on June 7, 2014. I explained that it was highly unlikely that these issues were related, since these circuits are not the same. In addition, your reported issue on June 22, 2014 was related to you changing a porch light by yourself; this porch light was not in the garage or hall bathroom, which are the two areas I addressed on June 7, 2014. I also assured you that if the issue was connected to the previous work, we would correct the issue free of charge. You stated that you would check with another company on prices, and may call me back. You did not call me back. It is unfortunate that you felt compelled to write this Angie’s List Review, especially since your understanding of events was incorrect. I pride myself in customer service and customer satisfaction. Good luck in your future endeavors and experiences with service providers. Sincerely, Brandon Cross Cross Electric"
