I would say it was OK. I thought they were like fooling me a little bit I called for one specific thing and they were not interested in doing that for me without doing a bunch of other things as well, so they refused to do what I called for without doing a bunch of other things. They did not actually give me an official quote.

He was a nice man, and he did a pretty thorough investigation of my house except for one area.  I hear loud noises
in my room in the walls and the attic right above.  Mainly it bothered me that he didn't go in the area of the attic where I'm hearing the noises.  He said he wouldn't fit but my ex fit up there and I'm pretty sure they're about the same size.  The main reason I hired him was to go in the attic in that area and take a look.  Yes, it's hot and unpleasant up there but that's what he was hired for. He finally said he didn't think I had a rodent problem and I must be hearing some sort of structural noise or maybe geckos. I really don't think it's either of those things (unless there are HUGE geckos I've never heard about) and neither does anyone that's heard the noises in my room. He said there were four rat traps up there and they were all tripped. Did the geckos set those off? Now I'm hearing squeaking noises in the walls like maybe baby squirrels.  No, I would not hire him again and am sorry I did. I'm hearing the noises of something jumping about above me right now. :(

Over the course of about 10 days, George made a few visits to setup and pickup caught critters. Was generally prompt and accommodating. If you have squirrels and want to get rid of them, I recommend George. He releases them far away and I appreciate the no-kill method he uses. Watch out, the corn cob buffet he sets up may create a mess, but those are squirrels for you. All in all, I'm very happy with George's methods and service.

I'm 68 years old and don't want to have to climb around inside my attic or on my roof.  Critter Gitter's George, and his son, came to my house the same day I called.  George's son climbed onto my roof and inspected the site of the noise, including probing it to see if the entry site allowed any critters access into my attic.  His son determined that there was no way that an animal (rat, squirrel, or otherwise) could get into the attic from that place.  He then cleared away the nesting material that he suspected was a squirrel's and came off of the roof.  George said that because all they had had to do was inspect, he'd only charge me half-price!!!  How great is that?  (BTW, a competitor had given me a telephone quote of $499 to $599 without even having come to the house to look at the situation.  Shameful.)

The couldn't have been more prompt, couldn't have been nicer, and quickly put my mind at ease when they figured out that whatever was trying to establish a nest in a small opening in the valley between my gable feature and the top of my breezeway's roof couldn't get inside of the attic!

How often do we get problems solved for $25 these days?  Not often!

The one main positive comment was the swiftness of coming out to my house after I called.  The attic was explored, and I was informed of the findings of rat droppings but no evidence of actual pests/birds present.  The recommendation was placement of rat traps outside of the house for a fee.  I was told these would be maintained every month with replacement of the poison for a fee, but I haven't heard from Critter Gitter since.  I also haven't heard any further noises in my attic, so I haven't found a need to call again.  I figured they would have followed up with me, hence the B rating I gave.

George came out the same day I called. He went to great lengths and spent more than two hours in his attempts to locate and remove the dead animal. Unfortunately, that would have meant destroying part of our beautiful redwood deck. The critter decided to crawl under the hollow steps that exist beneath the deck. Even if he had removed some of the deck planks, there was no guarantee his arm would be able to reach the deceased animal without also breaking into the concrete steps. So we opted to leave it and deal with the smell using baking soda. So far, that seems to be helping. George had initially said the call would cost $100, but  because he didn't remove the critter, we would only pay half. He honestly tried everything he could, short of destroying part of the deck, and spent more than two hours trying, so we felt he deserved more than $50. We gave him $75. I highly recommend Critter Gitter George! He is very honest and very fair.
