in my room in the walls and the attic right above. Mainly it bothered me that he didn't go in the area of the attic where I'm hearing the noises. He said he wouldn't fit but my ex fit up there and I'm pretty sure they're about the same size. The main reason I hired him was to go in the attic in that area and take a look. Yes, it's hot and unpleasant up there but that's what he was hired for. He finally said he didn't think I had a rodent problem and I must be hearing some sort of structural noise or maybe geckos. I really don't think it's either of those things (unless there are HUGE geckos I've never heard about) and neither does anyone that's heard the noises in my room. He said there were four rat traps up there and they were all tripped. Did the geckos set those off? Now I'm hearing squeaking noises in the walls like maybe baby squirrels. No, I would not hire him again and am sorry I did. I'm hearing the noises of something jumping about above me right now. :(
I'm 68 years old and don't want to have to climb around inside my attic or on my roof. Critter Gitter's George, and his son, came to my house the same day I called. George's son climbed onto my roof and inspected the site of the noise, including probing it to see if the entry site allowed any critters access into my attic. His son determined that there was no way that an animal (rat, squirrel, or otherwise) could get into the attic from that place. He then cleared away the nesting material that he suspected was a squirrel's and came off of the roof. George said that because all they had had to do was inspect, he'd only charge me half-price!!! How great is that? (BTW, a competitor had given me a telephone quote of $499 to $599 without even having come to the house to look at the situation. Shameful.)
The couldn't have been more prompt, couldn't have been nicer, and quickly put my mind at ease when they figured out that whatever was trying to establish a nest in a small opening in the valley between my gable feature and the top of my breezeway's roof couldn't get inside of the attic!
How often do we get problems solved for $25 these days? Not often!
