It was a good experience. In my research on the spa industry I found many complaints and horror stories. Most complaints were on customer service. So I was careful in selecting a local company with very high customer service ratings. That is why I picked Coleman and they demonstrated they earned their high ratings.

We love the spa. The installation and everything was good, but we had some trouble with the spa. After my 5th telephone call in 3 months, we found out that the problem was that I was cleaning the filter system with the detergent in the kitchen that you wash the dishes with, and that is not what I was supposed to do. I was supposed to wash with the high pressure hose, and once I did that, the problem went away. The guy kept coming out to service and he never told me that. If he had said that the first time, it would be perfect, but he wasn't trained in that particular area. I was really frustrated with it, because we were having a lot of down time with it. I called them and said I needed someone at the top to sort it out. They came right out, and we started walking through it, and within 3 or 4 minutes he identified what the problem was. He was the top dog there, and he told me that when they were installing it, he had verbally told me what to do, and that may be true. I don't have a very good memory, and I am not going to say it is my fault, because if the maintenance guy would have known his job, it would not be a problem. It was a very big thing, but other than that it was perfect. It was not inexpensive, it was on the high side, but it was very good quality. We are very pleased with it. I was happy enough to buy it, but it was on the high side. They were highly responsive, it was just that too much was required for a while there. It was a single problem. They responded very quickly. I am sure the maintenance guy has been brought up to date because of this incidence.

"We are glad we finally figured out what was causing the filters to clog so rapidly. Using detergent to clean filters will definitely do that. It always seems to be something simple when you are looking for a solution to a rare problem. We have used this experience to train our techs to ask a few simple questions the right way regarding maintenance before looking for part failure. Asking "how you clean your filters" instead of "if you cleaned your filters" can be the difference. Thank you for your business!"

The company called a day in advance to confirm delivery. They then called morning of delivery to inform delivery time. The delivery crew arrived promptly on time. The crew was very cordial and professional. Every thing went very smooth. I sure will highly recommend Coleman and employees.

For the most part it went well. 'They were responsive to all my calls and questions, the only issue I had is that the spa didn't fit the old spot and I needed to make some minor modifications to the deck. On delivery the person in charge insisted that the cover lift go on the opposite side of maintenance access. This would require major modifications to the deck so they had to stop and said to call back when the deck was ready and they would finish the install. I called Robert the owner of the company and he assured me that the lift could be placed any where I wanted. I removed it and when the installers returned they placed it on the access side the spa fit flush after the modifications and I get to enjoy it now. I will follow up when I require service as how responsive they are.

The control panel was quickly replaced. The cover support arm screws were replaced as well as the shell panels. The company admitted it was installed properly and apologized for the inconvenience. The circuit board was replaced as a circuit was melted, probably in a electrical storm, which a lot of companies would have claimed voided the warranty. When I need chemicals they are delivered to the front door without a delivery charge, if I am willing to wait a day or two for delivery. Honestly this company gives top notch service. This is not my first hot tub purchase and my experience has been nothing but good with this company.
