Clear Internet Sales

To be fair to this particular organization, they seem to be a reseller of the Clear service. I actually ordered it online, but there was no option for that. Clear Wireless offers 4G wireless via Wimax service. Up to 6M download, and up to 1M upload. At first, service was pretty good. We didn't close to 6M, but we were able to stream Netflix on two different TV's at once, and it met our needs. We live in an area on the outskirts of town, and have limited options. No cable, no dsl, no fiber. Either microwave wireless from questionable providers, satellite with terrible speeds, or T1. I actually had a T-1 for 3 years at the price of about $550 a month for our home business, so I was quite excited to hear from a neighbor about this option for about $50 a month. Once service deteriorated into ----NO JOKE--- Dial up speeds, I called for help. They call center is in the Philippines, and although kind, just are not very good or helpful. I called daily, and was promised a call back. They never called, and closed open trouble tickets without contacting us to tell us so. Or why. I grew more and more frustrated.I did everything they asked to eliminate our equipment as the issue, which I knew it wasn't, and then they finally asked me to perform a trace. Once they did that, they admitted they were oversubscribed in our area, and there was congestion on our tower. They also freely said they had no plans to upgrade service in our area, and the service "was what it was." Essentially, if I didn't like it, I could go elsewhere. How lovely. I literally wasted 10 hours on the phone with these guys for them to fess up they they had oversold their service. If you deal with them, just know what you are in for. Crappy service and follow up if you ever have to call. If the service is up and working, it's fantastic. C for service, B on price, but F for support. I pray you never need to call them. I miss American call centers!
