Charlie Brown Sound

Charlie arrived at our predesignated time and gave us a rough estimate based on what we explained. We live in an older home with limited attic space and lots of old wiring. His estimate was about 3,000 less than competitors and the main difference was in labor costs. He removed our old wiring and installed speaker cables, speakers and ran wiring from the television to a closet where he mounted the receiver, DVD and cable box. He used an IR device so there were no wires showing on the walls...only the flat panel. He arrived with his brother and father who helped him and they hoped to complete the job in a single day. No Way this was going to happen.... wiring was complicated by limited attic space, insulation, and thick walls. To sum it up... Charlie was persistent. At 6 pm it was evident that they would not complete it in a single day, so we arranged for him to return on Sunday. They did a fine job and had it all installed (five TV's, three DVD's, and cable boxes)... then we hit a snag, An ungrounded plug fried one of the units. He was flustered but quickly ordered a new television and had to return a week later to complete the job and program the remotes. Having had other contractors work in our home we knew the job would probably run into problems. We warned him during the estimate that he might want to build in a cushion to allow for this.... he added a slight overage and later he did charge us about $500 in additional labor which seemed within reason. We love our sound/audio system and the quality of the image and sound has been remarkable.
