My boots were completely repaired with beautiful work. The repair price was very fair, significantly less than replacement, and the time to repair them was extremely prompt for the task. The proprietor even remembered that I hoped to go out of town and made sure that the boots were ready for that trip. I am so grateful for their skilled leatherwork, and I recommend Cartan's repear without any reservation.

Totally exceeded my expectations in every way - from the time I entered the shop for the first time until I picked up the modified sandals. The service was beyond professional. I only wish that other businesses understood the importance of this type of exceptional service!!

I was kept in the loop with the progress of the modifications with phone calls, and the multiple pairs of sandals were ready long before I needed them for my trip! (I was under a bit of a time crunch for an upcoming trip, and he was able to complete the job with time to spare)

Some of the sandals were cork in color and the color of the cork was actually matched with the same color of heel lift. He actually special ordered the material needed to match the color. Unbelievable!!

Do not hesitate to bring your shoes into this shop for repair!

I was amazed at how they were refurbished - look just like new (soles and all). Never thought this was possible. Thought it was worth a try since friends told me about bringing in shoes for medical buildups as the proprietor is a pedorthist, so therefore might be someplace that is more than a run-of-the-mill shoe repair joint. I was not disappointed. By the way, Angie has their phone number wrong....it's 817-923-1245.

I have a pair of REALLY comfortable THINK sandals, which are outrageously expensive and which I cannot currently afford to replace. I have worn them sometime during almost every day since I purchased them four or five years ago. However, I had completely worn out the soles, especially where they wrapped the heel. When I saw that Cartan's Shoe Repair was A-listed on Angie's List, I called them. The great folk there told me they couldn't replace the sole with exactly the same sole, but would use Birkenstock soles on them. They also told me it would be rather expensive and would take about a week and a half, because they would have to sand off the old sole, before they could replace it. | |They accomplished the replacement in the time they told me it would take and for the price they had quoted to me, which was about half of what it would have cost to replace them, if I could find them on sale somewhere. | |I am very pleased with the results: I still have my wonderful, orthotically perfect (for my feet, anyway) do everything, go everywhere, red sandals and no longer have my heels slide out from under me if I hit a wet spot.

Repairs were exactly as explained when shoes were left for repair. Service was excellent. Will definitely use again.
