I have no problem with the quality of work Mr. Carney performed installing the retainer wall.

 The contract states I will pay three installments of $4,917.94. First when signing the contract, second midway through the installation and final payment when project is completed.

Two days before the wall was to be completed, Mr. Carney approached me and stated he had underbid my wall and he would need an additional $2,000.00 to complete the project . He basically told me he could not complete the job without the additional money. I felt I had no recourse but to pay as I did not want to leave the job incomplete and have to hire someone else to complete it. As I stated above, he and his crew did an excellent job and I am very satisfied with the finished product. I do feel Mr. Carney scammed me out of this money because he knew I would pay the additional cost.

Provided an estimate which was inline with the insurance adjuster's documentation.  Carney failed to follow the insurance / my directions and "repaired" portions of my house that did not require repair, plus attempted to charge me more.  They did not call when outside electrical did not work.  They took it upon themselves to leave doors open in order to use inside outlets.  When it is over 100 degrees outside this was not smart.  I received a $ 565.00 electric bill due to his inability to pick up the phone.
Bottom line is that he does not provide quality work.

He answered the phone the and he said that he would call me back. He got my name and number and said that he would call me back and he never did. I am just trying to find an honest carpenter who will just be up front and tell me if they can't do they job if they can't.
