I had just bought this home in Texas and was living in California, it had a guest house, but the guest house did not have it's own water meter so I paid to have one put in and needed a water line run from it to the house, and wanted an outside faucet also. My realtor (Nanette Blair) told me her husband (Jessie Blair) was a good licensed plumber, I needed to fly back to California and would not be able to be there to supervise the work, but upon speaking to Mr. Blair over the phone, he assured me that the job would be done right and not to worry. The pipe was put in along with the faucet, and all seemed to be well but the Mr. Blair had cut into my septic line, and did not inform me at the time of the work, he knew it would be a long time before the problem would show up, and it did take awhile. I needed to do work on the home before I was ready to rent it out, and when I did, the septic line began to leak water from the ground, at first I thought it was tree roots, and treated it, but that was NOT the problem, time went by, the problem persisted, finally I dug down to the problem area and discovered that Mr. Blair had indeed cut my line with the trencher they had used. But to my surprise there were no cut marks where the pipe ran across the sewer line, but there were two 1 foot section cut away at both ends of the 5 foot section of sewer pipe, and the center section had been rotated 180 degrees and used as a rest for the pipe. To prove my theory, I dug up the center section, and sure enough! the proof was right there! I found the cut marks! and they lined up perfectly. I took pictures, before I dug up the center section. I called Blair plumbing, and Daniel came out, and told me yes, he remembered that he and Mr. Blair had done the job, but that they did NOT touch my sewer pipe! (my pictures PROVE otherwise) I sent an e-mail to Mr. Blair and offered him an alternative, and told him if he would re-reimburse me, that I would not report him to BBB, and Angie's List. He called back, and wanted to see the pipe, which I said, he could but have not heard from him since. This is one of those jobs that a plumber can do, where months can go by before you will ever find out if the job was done right, Mr. Blair took advantage of that fact, that I was in California, and he knew it would be a long while before that house would be rent able.My house sat empty for 5 years before I ever wanted to rent it out, before that it was just a guest home, and the problem, didn't show with only 1 person visiting.
