About us
We have been repairing small engines for over 25 years. There is nothing too big, or too small, that we cannot handle. Sharpen blades, replace motors, rebuild carburetors, tune ups, preventative maintenance, etc. We handle all customer types, whether you are an individual homeowner to a commercial lawn cutting service. Free diagnosis and estimate of repairs on all items (unless unit tear down is involved). We offer a warranty on all our repairs and offer inexpensive rates because we have very low overhead. We also buy and sell used commercial and residential equipment .

It went well. Bill promised my mower in a week, picked it up and returned it as he said he would. He found the issue and repaired it, plus did some extra maintenance that was needed. Kind, professional and honest.

My mower stopped running in the middle of a yard job. It would start, but would not keep running. I took it in to Bill on Monday morning. It was ready for pick-up by Tuesday afternoon! He did a tune-up, oil change and replaced the blade. The mower ran perfectly with more power than ever. The best thing about the service was that it was performed in one day. This was my second time to visit Big & Small Mower Repair. In both cases I was impressed by how friendly professional, and consistently excellent these folks are. The young lady who works in the office, Marci, even helped me load the mower into my truck. I highly recommend this shop to anyone needing lawn equipment repair.

Excellent place of business and conveniently located (for me, as he was 5 minutes from home!)
My mower randomly quit working during a mowing session. I had a small Mohawk in my lawn, about 2 ft stretch from the sidewalk to our fence. I figured it'd over heated so I left it for a few hours, but when I went to run it again later it died immediately after finishing the Mohawk. We thought it ran out of gas, so I went to take the cap off and it was stuck. My husband normally refills the gas for me when I need to mow the lawn, so after 5 minutes of fiddling with the gas cap and getting nowhere I quit messing with it.
Later my husband tries too to get the cap off, and the mower's not having it. We took it to have serviced a few days later. We told them what the issue was we were having, and they also made recommendations. When the mower was tilted they noticed the blade was extremely thin, and recommended a replacement.
Big and Small Mower Repair had my mower for a week, including a holiday, and they were able to get it done. They amped up the RPM, added oil, replaced the blade and gas cap. The mower is a hand-me-down from my father, but it's never run so well. They let us know that it's not recommended to leave gasoline in the mower for over a month, and to be honest this was our first mower we had no clue. We had used gasoline in it from last season.
I'm exceptionally happy with this company, their price, and the speed at which they were able to repair my mower... Now if only the weather would get better and let me mow the lawn more consistently.

Dropped my Craftsman 6.5 hp chipper/shredder off on Tuesday morning 1/27/15 to have a tuneup. They called the next day and said it was ready. They rebuilt the carburetor, changed the oil and air filter and got it running great. Used it last Saturday for several hours shredding leaves and it ran like brand new. Highly recommend based upon my experience.

This is the second time I have called Big and Small Mower Repair to work on a 20 year old Riding Lawnmower. They are super helpful and fast when taking all the details by phone. They offer a pick up and drop off service for the mower , which is necessary since I do not have a truck to drop it off.
I highly recommend Big and Small Mower Repair, they have been fair and honest with me about fixing our mower and keeping it working with out spending a unnecessary money.
This time the valve stem had to be replaced in the tire to fix my flat. The battery was charged and the mower was returned to us running.

These people are the best. I had a difficult problem with my riding lawnmower and they managed to get it back to running like new.

They did a great job. To begin with, they offered a minimum fee to pick up and deliver the riding lawn tractor back to me which I thought was going to cost an arm & a leg. Its run great since its return. They were able to do the job and get it back to me in this their busiest season in just 1 week where others quoted me much longer. Big & Small Mower Repair gave a 10% discount for paying in cash (every little bit helps). Also their price was very reasonable for the quality work done. I believe its been the only time the parts cost more than the labor !! Definitely will continue to use them for my future lawn equipment needs.

Our riding lawn mower which was 20 years old and our new push mower which was less then a year old would not start for us. We did not have a trailer to take the riding mower to a shop. We looked on Angie's list and found Big and Small Mower Repair, I called for the details about how much it would cost to have them repair and tune up the mowers. I also asked if they could pick up the mowers. They were super friendly and helpful. I was told by Bill, they did offer a pick up service and would pick them both up at the same time. I was told to service both would be around $200 and pick up and delivery was $60.
Both were delivered back in perfect working order 6 business days later. The total was $240.
Also one of the front tires on the riding lawn mower had been replaced last summer. Bill noticed it was a different size, he took off the wrong size and replaced it with a tire to match. This was at no cost.
This company was super friendly, timely and professional. I would recommend to anyone needing to repair or tune up a lawn mower.

The provider did an excellent and timely job of maintaining my mower by cleaning air filter, flushing oil from system, changing engine oil and sharpening and balancing mower blade. When mower was returned I thought it belonged to someone else because it looked so much better. Also, pick-up and delivery service was provided.

When we called our regular lawn mower repair company we were told that they would come and pick up the mower immediately but that they would probably not get to it for a few weeks. When we asked if they could wait until they were ready to work on it to come and get it they said they could not. Since our lawn needs mowing weekly this was not a good option for us. We looked at Angie's list and saw a local repair shop with good ratings. We were very happy with everything about the experience with Big and Small Mower Repair. They immediately came and picked it up and gave us an estimate of when it would be done. The work was done on time and at a great price.
