The job was complex. The large living area has a vaulted, non-insulated ceiling that was a real heat source . Attic Solutions (see Angie's list recommendation) proposed and quoted working with a roofer and following removal of the decking, spray foam insulating the area, installing a skin vent above it, and replacing the decking, then installing a synthetic layer of underlayment before re-roofing. Several roofers refused the job because they couldn't/wouldn't work with another contractor. Daniel de la Vega's company, AMV roofing out of Ft. Worth, was willing and had worked with Attic Solutions successfully in the past.
The coordination was very successful and the job took 2.5 days. No drama. Just professionalism from each contractor and their crews.
The new shingles look amazing, the roof is tight, the Class IV will get me an insurance break and I'm very satisfied. I hope more of Daniel's customers will get on Angie's List and other sites and give him the recognition his company deserves.
