The major delay came with the marble. We didn't need a full sheet and were wanting to find a partial sheet to avoid extra charges. The marble guys identified the marble as a specific type and that type is what we were seeking for many months, with no luck. Finally, I went to the marble supplier and realized that the type identified by the marble guys did not match the existing marble. I found the one we needed, and also found a partial sheet of it in stock. After that, it did take quite a while for everyone to get on the same page and get it installed. Beyond that, any other problems were minor and readily resolved. Our house is a 1927 Craftsman Bungalow and much of the work needed to be customized to accommodate out of level walls and ceilings (therefore a little more costly than originally quoted).
Alex has been a great resource for me, as my husband is overseas and I was trying to get the project completed by myself. I appreciate Alex very much and would recommend him. The finished kitchen is gorgeous and is now the envy of the neighborhood!!
