Affordable Repair & Remodeling

They sent 3 people out to do the job. They got the job done all in one day. They did everything as expected. The guys were nice and courteous. They also dropped a bucket of texture on the floor and they cleaned up decently but they could have been a little more careful.

They were very good. They were very prompt in responding to us and also answering any questions that we had and they did a tremendous job on the fence, very good quality.

The response after the purchase of the package was quick and friendly. The completion of the job was excellent, my only complaint would be that it was more expensive than I thought it should be. I was charged an additional charge of $49.50 above the $299.00 I already had paid. This was a 2 hour job, it should have also been enough to cover material.

 I sent an email Sunday and he called me on  my cell and home number Monday and left a message. I then left him a message. He was VERY considerate and didnt return my call since it was after 9pm.He did sent me an email, saying he
could come out early Tuesday Morning and repair the gate. He gave me a range from $150-$300. When I got home from work
my gate was repaired so the latch will work correctly. He even posted on the gate a "BEWARE  OF DOG" sign for security! He left the invoice on my door.  I even got an "Angies discount!!
 I am VERY happy with the prompt and  excellent service and would most definatlely use him again.

They had the best estimate and also gave me a senior discount. It is a huge improvement. The crew that was here did a great job. It took them about 3 days to do the work. They were all very considerate and cleaned up after themselves. They were all very friendly and courteous, and I felt very comfortable with them.

Two years ago they remodeled a master bathroom and did a good job. They just finished the exterior of my house and also did well; I liked it. They also are going to put on a new roof but I am struggling with the insurance to get this project done. Someone from Affordable is helping me with the insurance adjuster; I trust them. They have been on time and very professional. Members of his crew have helped me out in getting things done. The owner is doing more than he needs in order to get this worked out.

Called company out to replace some fence panels due to our dog escaping and rotting wood. They came out and quoted and scheduled a day to come out within same week. Work was completed the same day without any upcharges from orginal quote.

I would give them all As for their work. They were all good worker and just did their job very well.  I would use this company again.

The overall experience was excellent, professional, and friendly.  The estimate and quoting process was timely and efficient, with options and pricing laid out in a very transparent manner.  When awarded the business, they showed up exactly when they said they would.  The workers obviously were experienced, and there was very little wasted motion.  The old fence was removed and disposed of quickly, with no damage to the yard and with no trash, nails, or wood scrap left behind.  As we have a pool and dogs, they were careful to put up the temporary fence whenever they were not on site.  The quality of the materials used for the the new fence was very good, and the amount of concrete used to secure the posts should keep them firmly in place for a long time.  The workmanship on the fence itself is excellent, and the stain job is also excellent.  Cleanup was very good.  When they left, the only way you could tell that they had been there was that the fence was new.  We are very pleased, and will certainly make them a first-choice in the future.

They were super nice. Their quote was reasonable. They were great. I didn’t hire them because I would look into some more options. I got an estimate of $6000 from the other company. I may still call them. They were excellent. They were wonderful. I would use them in the future.

Company was very professional and work was completed as promised. Very accommodating to my last minute changes and additions.

Had extensive landscaping done in backyard requiring removal of fence panel in order to perform landscaping. The wood fence posts were already misaligned and loose (thanks to Texas soil) and also I wanted to relocate the one fence line to front of house versus rear to recapture a small side yard for use (and to ensure air conditioner was behind the fence) and add an entry gate to that side I decided to have completely redone.  I contacted Mike the owner and he provided an estimate. His crew was at house within agreed upon date and completed the job within 2 days. This included metal posts, individual planks, tie-in to existing perpendicular fence, new gates and hardware, look-out window at lower level for the dog to see the front yard and staining. The work went beyond what I had expected as it required the tie-in to exisitng fence line that was done very expertly. A few weeks after the work was completed the new added gate shifted and they were out the next day after reporting to make the necessary adjustments.

The electrical work corrected a problem in that my breaker would shut-off if there was an overload to one path and only having one outlet in the garage requiring extension cords to be used to run various appliances.  Mike discovered one of the outlets was reversed, replaced both the exterior front and back outlets, added four outlets into the garage (including fixing the breaker outlet issue). I have not had an issue with the breaker popping since repair even when more than one appliance is plugged into an exterior outlet. 

I found Mike and his crew to be professional, communicative and price reasonable for the work. More importantly the quality of work and clean-up was exceptional.
 

It went very smooth. The gentlemen were professional and courteous from the first estimate inspection to the completion of the project. They were very accommodating as to our wishing to wait until after the Christmas/New Year's holidays to begin the job. I would definitely recommend Affordable Repair & Remodeling to Angie's List Members and would choose and use them for any additional work that may become necessary on my home.

Overall experience went well. Received referral then called and scheduled proposal. We then scheduled with tenant to make sure we would not inconvenience tenant. Once we had proposal, we scheduled time to do work. Company was prompt and professional at all times. Workers arrived when stated. Work area was always left cleaned. Work was completed by completion date quoted. The company also went above and beyond what we had expected.
