The wrought iron gate is supposed to be powder coated and finished.  He said it wouldn?t fade for at least 10 years and after 2 years it is chipping and fading.  It looks like the fence and gate are about 20 years old.

Andre wired the electronics incorrectly and the motherboard had blown out.  It took him a year to come out and rectify the situation, he said to me ?I just thought you guys didn?t know how to open a gate?.  After that we realized because of the way the gate was hitting the post it was preventing it from closing correctly.   I have had 5 fence contractors come out since and let me know that the work Andre did was very poor.  He should of used a 10 foot post, 6 feet above ground and 4 feet below ground. He didn?t even put the post 2 feet down.

One thing Andre said is that he would just come and cut off the gate but the other contractors said the problem was the post.  The post would have to be completely taken out, new concrete poured, and a new proper post be put in.  The cost of these repairs is $800 and I believe Andre should reimburse us for the cost.

terrible job performed, the crew of two men came out for two days the sander did not know how to use the equipment and left scarring on the fence, the painter did not know how to use a sprayer, miss several promised start dates with no followup, the workers were not supervised, when they fished they did not give me te opportunity to inspect the fence, many missed spots, they eventually came back after two weeks of non-reponse to emails and vmails,  fortunately I did not pay them, eventually the called a a rescheduled a date to return to complete the job,  they missed that date without a phone call, then they called one morning and said they could be there by noon, they ended up repainting the fence, but still can see scarring of the metal
would not use them again

A nightmare to say the least, the worse time ever  going though a contract.  The contract started on October 17th, 2011 and never got complete as of May 29, 2012.  The contractor (the owner) was only on site for about 25% of the time and normally had several of his worker out on the site and no one was in charge, the worker continues to argue on how they thought the job needed to get done, vise the signed contract.
Materials delivery or pick ups was a painfull task, as the contractor made it sound like delays were not his fault.  Never could coordinate deliveries with his work forces as many of time his worker just sat around waiting for the materials to be delivered, sometimes a whole day as the material got re-schedule for the following day and this information was never passdown to his workers.
Workmenship, not good.  I was lucky that I was at the site, to rapidly re-dirrect work headed in the wrong dirrection.  And even with that somethings got by my eyes as I'm not the construction type.  He had to change the roof on the pump house, as his worker put it on wrong, was not properly aligned with the walls and water would of been able to enter during the rain.
The Masonery work, was sub-contracted out and very little communication between them.  In the beginning, based on the boundy lines by the contractor, my property line was out of bound by 18 to 24 inches, not good.  Masonery work was never completed, as the contractor stated he would finish it off and see what that got me (nothing)
Painting of the fence, a desaster, the paint peeled off within a week or so.  He had a Sherman William rep out here to figure out the problem on why the paint was peeling off and the results from the lab and a one on one conversation by me, the rep and the report came back that improper preparation, prior to the paint being applied.  Just because the can of paint says DTM (dirrect to metal)  preparation are still needed and in my case none was done.
Welding of the fence, not properly smooth out once the weld was complete.  One side of the fence is smooth, while other side and sections of the fence is not.  Welding is not uniformed, meaning not the same throughout the fence.  The workers welding obviously not professional.
The contractor had order the wrong pipe size, instead of 2 3/8, he ordered 2 1/2, once the problem was identified, I had to settle for the east and west side of the fence at 2 1/2 vise 2 3/8, with the top rail at 2 3/8.  Unless you look very close you can't see the difference, but the matter still lies in ordering the wrong and this is the business he specializes in.
The iron gate, was built backwards.  I didn't notice until I had to hire another contractor to install the gate, the new contractor had to weld an extention at the end of the gate in order to ensure it will travel thoughout the track while operating.  The lights by the iron gate at the top of the masonery work was prewired with sprinkler wire, all had to get removed and the proper one installed, one of many ways to cut corners in cost.
Left a mess, of material that was either left over or still was needed to be installed.  That I had to clean up to make my home presentable.  Daily clean up started to go down hill once I stopped giving him money to continue, as he was not getting anything done with the money that was givin to him prior.
Communication, non existing.  Many e-mail and phone call, which resulted in more delays, as he made himself not available.  I called once from another number after numerious times trying from my number and he picked up the phone.  Never on time for anything, he didn't even show up for his court date.
Lesson learned don't trust him, if anyone would like to see more detail in the Fort Worth area, please let me know.

Excellent job.  Andre promptly returned phone call and came to our site and gave a written estimate.  Work started the following Monday.  Andre and a crew of 3-4 completed the job in about 3 days.  His estimate (which was final price) was $500 - $700 lower than his competitors, and he was able to start  the job sooner.

When I called Andre I was very pleasantly surprised when he told me he was in the neighborhood and would arrive at my house in about 10 minutes.  He came, provided me with an estimate and told me he would send a crew the same day.  His crew arrived and performed excellent service in just a couple of hours.  The price was very good, they were very polite and professional.  I'll gladly recommend their services in the future!

On Saturday A & D did the grinding of the 6 stumps, the removal of the fence  (leaving on those portions that faced the street for Monday removal), and prepared area for installation of the new posts, etc.  They returned on Monday to finish the job of installing the new fence and gate.
It went very well and I am very pleased with the work.  Andre and his crew arrived when they promised, explained what would be done and needed on both days, and gave me a product that looks great and built the gate to my specifications for a very competitive price.  (I had gotten 3 other estimates.)   In the future, when I need a service done that A & D Fence can do, I will be calling them again.

They were wonderful we are very happy with everything. The technicians were very polite and professional. It was off 100 both days and they two gentlemen still always had a smile for me and worked their hardest to complete the job. Mr. Coursey stuck with his estimate and didn't ask for payment until the job was complete and we were happy. We highly recommend this company it could not have been a better experience.
