 + 0 moreThis bathroom used to be a tiny room with a bath/shower combo and toilet enclosed and the vanity/sink area in the master bedroom. We had several companies do different parts of the job. TOTAL project included taking out walls, building walls and turning the bath into a tiled standup shower. All new fixtures, new vanity and new floor. R Melton Construction did all of the finishing of the walls and ceiling including painting and they also installed trim/baseboards and painted them. There was not even one problem from start to finish. Rick came out on a Sunday to look at the job. He texted the estimate to me the next day and on the following Saturday Zach came and started the job. Zach did an excellent job of protecting the floors and other surfaces and cleaned up perfectly after the job was done. He worked tirelessly and I don't really even know if he took a break for lunch. He really never stopped working, EVER while he was here. He finished the entire job over the weekend working alone from Saturday morning through early evening on Sunday. Nothing posed a problem for him, no matter which part of the job we were talking about his answer was "that's no problem"... and it really WASN'T a problem at all because he not only knew how to do it, but he did it perfectly. I am VERY impressed with this guy! Honestly Rick and Zach were an answer to prayer because I had about 5 other people come out and look at just THIS part of my job and give me estimates. Either they wanted to charge as much as $1,490 or they saw problems with the job and I didn't have any confidence in them. One guy would have done it for less BUT would not install the trim, paint anything or move the light fixture. So I would have had to hire someone to do those or do them myself. I was getting really discouraged thinking that my bathroom would never be done! But Rick came out on Sunday to give me an estimate and by the end of the day on the following Sunday the job was totally finished and I absolutely LOVE my new bathroom. I absolutely recommend him to anyone and I will hire him again in an instant in the future.
Description of Work: Zach covered the floor, shower and toilet to keep everything clean. He cut the wall and moved the box for the light fixture up several inches then patched the old hole with the cut out from the new hole. He taped, bedded and textured the ceiling with popcorn and painted the ceiling. Now you can't even tell where the old popcorn was and where the new popcorn starts. He taped and bedded the walls and the ceiling line. He textured the walls with crowsfoot, and primed and painted the walls. He installed door trim on both sides and installed new baseboards. He filled the nail holes and caulked and painted all of the trim and baseboards. He put the light fixture back up.
