They completed a whole roof repair. They did all our repairs from damage of the storm. They acted as a contractor. They had the screens and gutters replaced, as well as the roof. They could improve on staying in touch. It was hard to get ahold of them and get answers. They wouldn't show up for work, because weather was bad and I understand that, but you should at least call. Keeping clients informed about schedule changes were my biggest complaint. In July they said it would be 2-3 weeks and they didn't finish until October. The work they did was fine, we didn't have to call them back for anything. We did have to keep calling and calling about the screens and the gutters.

Overall it went good. They did the work to satisfaction, nothing extraordinary but nothing bad. They had good contractors for all the different jobs. The only pain point in our case was:- There was a disconnect between what the sales guy told us and what they ended up doing. There were 2 such work items. One of them was due to lack of knowledge on sales guy and I expected atleast the owner to call me and clarify the situation so I would have been comfortable. Owner didn't bother to call me inspite of me reaching out to him. The second instance was, they used a very substandard material from home depot and I had to fight and ended up paying out of my pocket to use better material and have use their contractors to do the job.
Initially, I had a feeling they are fantastic company, but I ended up with a bit of negative perception due to goof ups and atleast we would have been satisfied if the owner called to clarify the awkward situation created by novice sales guy. At the end, they are all the same.

Valley Ridge Roofing and Construction Inc finished the job very quick, they were here one day, for about 7 hours. They cleaned up pretty quick too. They were really efficient. They showed up on time, and they were pretty professional in keeping the area clean. They kept the stuff off my bushes. They did such a good job and it was finished really quick.

Response from Valley Ridge Roofing & Construction Inc

"In all of our roofing jobs at Valley Ridge we use a simple contract to help protect the best interests of both the homeowners and our company. It clearly states that the agreement is ONLY valid IF we get the insurance company to purchase the roof for the customer. If one of our salesman is able to convince the insurance adjuster to replace the roof, we feel it is only fair that we get to perform the services that we helped earn. If the insurance company does not decide to replace the roof, the customer has on obligation to us whatsoever. We base our work off the insurance specified measurements for the roof, giving us no need to purchase any satellite views for customers. Unfortunately from time to time not every transaction works out perfectly, in this case we decided to move on from the situation, and wish the homeowner the best for his future needs."

I can't say enough positive things about Valley Ridge Roofing. My initial contact with their sales person who looked at my roof was pleasant and not a hard sell. The sales consultant met my insurance adjustor and together they inspected my roof. Valley Ridge was able to get my insurance company to replace my roof due to hail damage. A feat that I wasn't able to do on my own. The insurance adjustor told me that State Farm would decrease my homeowners insurance if I put high impact resistant shingles on the roof. I downloaded the list of high impact resistant shingles that qualified for the reduction in insurance premiums and researched each style and color. The owner of Valley Ridge got several shingle samples and brought them to the house for me to choose a color. The cost to me was the upgrade to high impact resistant shingles from the insurance settlement for a plain roof.

Valley Ridge's supplier made a huge error in telling Valley RIdge at 6:30 am on the day of my roofing job that my shingles had been received. Valley Ridge had been in constant contact with the supplier who had said for over 2 weeks that they had my shingle order. AT 8:30 am after the roofers had removed my roof, the supplier called the owner of Valley Ridge in a panic that he had made a HUGE MISTAKE...my shingles had not come in. Valley Ridge told the supplier that they had to come up immediately with a high impact resistant shingle from the list. The only high impact resistant shingle that qualified that the supplier had in stock was an architectural shingle, but the supplier said we had to pay the additional cost of $2,000. Valley Ridge went to bat for me since this was the only supplier they used and got the supplier to take responsibility for their error. The supplier asked for $200 more which Valley Ridge absorbed. I got a 50 year gorgeous high impact resistant architectural shingle roof for the cost of a 30 year high impact resistant single tab roof due to Valley Ridge taking care of their customer.

Valley Ridge took a lemon situation created by their supplier and made it into a "lemon" margarita....I was extremely pleased. Also, my insurance premiums were reduced 30% which was another positive.

The roofers did a beautiful job. They picked up all the debris and left my lawn immaculate. The owners of Valley Ridge kept in contact with me in person and by phone through out the process. I would highly recommend this company!!!

I love my new roof and would highly recommend Valley Ridge Roofing (Valley Ridge) in Mansfield, Texas. Owner Ray Norton went above and beyond to ensure that I was completely satisfied with my new upgraded impact resistant roof. The impact resistant roof is going to save me significant money (35%) on my annual homeowner’s insurance premiums. Working with Valley Ridge was a pleasant experience. Their salesman, Mike Farias, was extremely professional, polite, and met with my insurance adjuster the day he assessed my roof damage. The roofers did an excellent job. They protected my delicate plants and ensured that all nails and debris were picked up after they were done. From the owners on down, Valley Ridge is a quality company, handles all questions and concerns in a proactive manner, and ensures that your roof purchase is a positive experience. You won’t go wrong using their company.
