I do not even know where to begin about this Veterinary Hospital. Over the last 13 years I have worked as a tech or assistant for many animal hospitals in NY and TX and this one by far has been the best to take my pets to as a client and not employee. I have taken all three of my dogs here over the last 4 years and have never had any problems. Everyone from the front end staff greeting you as you walk through the doors to the techs in the rooms with you. Everyone is so nice and awesome. This hospital does not try and get you do anything / purchase / work done on your pet unless they truly feel it is necessary. The doctors will also tell you straight what is the best thing for your pet even if they know it is not what you want to hear. They may give you other options but in the end they will tell you how they feel and what they think you should do. Very recently I had to put one of my beloved dogs down. Dr. Tuttle took time out of here morning and texted me from her personal phone to give me bad news about my dog, Rooster. She knew I was a teacher and I was about to have kids but also knew that I would want to know the news so that I could spend the last day with my dog. My dogs blood work came back and was not good at all. Dr. Tuttle straight out said that the best thing for the dog would be to put her down. There were things that we could try but no guarantees that any of them would have worked and I would not get to spend the last days with my dog because she would have been in ER. There were things to make her comfortable but again I would not have the same dog I am use to but a drugged up dog. She knew what was best and told me straight out. Then when the time came to put Rooster down the staff was incredible with dealing with me and my dog. I could not be more happy with this clinic and when I move to NY I know I will truly miss this clinic and the staff that is there. I love you all!!! Thank you so very much for everything you have done for me and my pets.

Two weeks ago, both pets had extensive dental work done -- cleaning teeth, extractions, gum surgery on older dog. He had teeth that had not fully erupted. Now they are fully functioning teeth. Both came through with flying colors, happier, more playful. No complications. The expense is/was well worth. Would do it again. The staff called in the evening to check on how the dogs were doing. Wonderful doctors and staff. Everyone takes their time with you and your pets. They answer questions and understand your concerns. No question is unimportant or stupid. They are very patient, thorough, considerate and professional. They make sure that you understand everything. The next day, they also follow up by phone and email. This is a full service veterinary hospital including grooming, treats for furry friends and coffee for 2-legged friends. :) Our first visit last November included a tour of the facility. Your pet also takes the tour. I highly recommended them.

Fine, The vets, techs and staff are professional and friendly. However, the cost was high because of the expertise of the vet dentist.

Wonderful! The surgery went smoothly and she has had no complications. She was back on her feet after just a couple days of recovery. The clinic has all of the technology and equipment to handle difficult cases. The staff if knowledgeable and caring. I definitely would recommend this clinic for any kind of veterinary care, especially work is delicate or that requires special expertise.

Excellent!  My baby was diagnosed and meds prescribed with the utmost care and attention. I really would not trust the care of my baby to anyone else!  I call and they get me in right away if we are experiencing any health problems.  They call me right back if I have any concerns.  DJ (Shihtzu)has been going to Main Street Vet since he was 6 weeks old.. he is 14 now.  Lots of old age problems surface at that age and I am confident that the care he is receiving is the best that is out there!  Thanks Dr. Smith and Dr. Brashear and of course the staff for all you do for us!

They are all Texas A&M trained which is one of the better veterinarian schools in the country. Very responsive to the pet and people. Always available when I call to give me a price over the phone or to get an appointment.

Everyone is so friendly and welcoming at Main Street Veterinary Hospital. There is never a long wait to see the doctor. The vet techs are very good with the pets and very knowledgeable. Dr. Ford Brassette is great with taking her time answering questions, checking our dog thoroughly and explaining everything to us about our dog's care. When we leave we get a report card on our dog and what she had done to her during her visit. We recently moved to the Flower Mound area and I was concerned because I had a vet that I had taken my previous dogs to for over 20 years and I thought I would never find a vet like her after we moved. I was very fortunate to find Dr. Ford Brassette and Main Street Veterinary Hospital. I immediately felt right at home there and felt like we had found an excellent vet. The prices are reasonable as well. Our dog goes there occasionally for day care and just loves it. She is so excited everytime we go back.

perfect. I've used these vets for about 15 years and I can honestly say I would never go anywhere else. They treat both you and your pet like family.

You pay for what you get (in a good way that is). Our family has used Main Street Vet Clinic for well over 10 years. They cared for and helped us grief the passing of two dogs. Now, we have two others and we 100% trust and value the staff-specifically Dr. Quinn and the client service reps, Heather, Karla, and Candy. I know their names because the customer service is impeccable. Highly recommended.

We would highly recommend their services. They are very good. They send postcards reminding us of upcoming shots and various other appointments. They even sent my son a sympathy card after he lost his cat. They are right up the street. They are convenient and it's a friendly place.

Our Beagle had stopped eating which for a Beagle is alarming. We brought
her in to have her examined. After a litany of tests and an expensive
x-ray, they said there was a possible blockage in her stomach but they
were not sure. They suggested more X-rays and possible surgery.
The
fact the dog was not throwing up and could still eat small amounts and
go number 2 OK, made me think she may just have a severe parasite
issue. I suggested this to the vet the next day and brought a stool
sample. They did another expensive X-Ray andalso confirmed she had round
worms but still suggested surgery. They sent us to the animal hospital
where the doctor there gave her a shot and some medication which solved
the issue.

I have a very sick animal and he is diabetic, so I have to go every six months. I have a miniature schnauzer and I have been seeing them for 15 years, first for my previous dog and now this one. The thing that is most important about them is that they don't treat the dogs like animals, and you literally feel like you are going in to see your family doctor. They really mean it when they say a pet parent instead of a pet owner. They get to know you, and so I can call and say that Max is sick and they will just tell me to come over and that I don't need an appointment. They are very responsive to the point of functioning, not only as my vet but as my emergency provider too in some cases, at least during the daytime hour when they are open.

My Boston Terrier is recovering from a bout of pancreatitis. I took Lola to Main Street Vets, where I was presented an estimate with a low and a high figure. The services quoted were for one day of services, to make Lola comfortable not actually an sort of treatment. The low figure was ~ $1000.00, the high estimate ~ $1,200.00. I authorized them to pre-charge the low estimate, which their response was that before treatment began they needed to pre-charge the higher estimate. It just seemed that they were more concerned about making a sale than actually treating the patient. It seems if they were going to pre-authorize a higher amount, that they were determined to make sure that the total bill reached the higher amount. I understand that a Vet's office is a business first, it just seems highly excessive to insist on charging the higher estimate even before any sort of treatment begins. It seems that virtually every test whether needed or not was called out on their estimate. I am sure that if pressed, they could justify each and every test. I am glad I got the h*** outta there, I went to to a different Vet and spent money to actually diagnose and treat the problem, at 40% less than Main Street Vets.

Over the period of a year. Very nice surrounds, pleasant manners, but only money talks. Wanted to do alot of work on the dogs that I considered wasnt required, like whitening teeth with a lacquer, not just a clean - more sales oriented. I called at 5.45pm one day (they close at 6pm) to see if they would treat one of our dogs we found injured on getting home from work. I live just down the road from them and could be there in 5 min. "No, we're going home." was the reply. So I've never been back and changed to another vet.

"[removed member name], Thank you so much for posting your concerns. I know it has been a while since you wrote your review but I want you to know that your review has had an impact on how we do business. I know it is probably too late to earn your trust with us but we don't ever want what happened to you, to happen to someone else. We are here for our clients. I apologize for the problems our decision to send you on to the emergency clinic instead of seeing you in our office may have caused. Thank you again - it is only by hearing what we are doing wrong that we are able to improve."

As the old cat, Pixel gets a lot of attention, but she also did a thorough and complete exam on the two younger girls. And she was very careful to reassure Anna Belle - who was totally terrified during the exam. It's expensive because we allow Main St and Dr. Cavasos to do routine blood tests or our kids. This gives us a baseline when things change and has been a big part of the reason why Pixel is still with us after 18 years. We know which changes have and have not occurred in him recently, vs. simply being his 'norm'. When the lab work came back, Dr. C spent 20 minutes on the phone with me going over all the details, working out the next steps of our treatment plans and answering my questions. She is simply wonderful. The rest of the practice provides great backup and gives us a lot of confidence that, whatever happens, our animals will be well taken care of.

We have used Main Street as our Vet for the 10+ years we have lived in North Texas. As a practice and as individuals, they are wonderful. They are very careful to prepare an estimate (expected and high side) for any major work. Follow-up, (even for little routine things) has been great and during times of serious illness exceptional. I have to especially single out Dr. Katherine Cavazos, who has taken care of our cats as they have grown older and as new members have joined the family.

I dropped my dogs off in the morning thinking it would be nice not to have to deal with waiting in the waiting room with the dogs, but we still had to wait. My dogs are very friendly and want to play with every other animal that comes in, so waiting can be stressful. After they got our paper work in order (10 -15 min.) they took the dogs. The Dr. called me after she had examined them to tell me what she found. She was very detailed and personable on the phone. I was able to pick up my dogs later that day, but first had to have a consultation on the teeth of one of my dogs. The Dr. we talked to about our dogs dental care was very informative and could tell he knew his stuff. However the quote for it was $700.00. A little high and much more then I pay for my own teeth. All said in done the experience was wonderful and the dogs are so clean, but the price tag ($250) per dog for exam and shoots was high.

They followed up by calling to make sure that she was okay. They are kind and caring and explain things very well. They are not the cheapest, but they are not the most expensive either. Their prices are fair and they are all professionals.

Dr. Susan Brashear specializes in skin. The business is an American Certified Animal Hospital Association. They are quite high priced but their quality of work warrants the cost. I truly receive the best care for my dog from services they provide.
