Fitness - Centers, Fitness - Training
While Life Time Fitness is always one of the more expensive gyms/clubs you will find, I have tried MANY others and can testify there is a good reason they cost a little more. To be brief - there is an abundance of weight machines, extensive Pilates equipment, stair climbing machines, treadmills, stationary bikes and other machines. There is a good variety of free weights but they could use more for the busier times of the day. More importantly, each location seems to have their own on-site staff that performs preventive maintenance and repairs so broken equipment is unusual and often only results from the staff not being aware of a particular issue. There are many mats and equipment to stretch out as well. Everything is very clean - to include not only bathroom areas but also saunas and hot tubs. Pools and particularly hot tubs/whirlpools are always an area of concern for me as that environment can quickly become out of balance and harbor viruses and/or bacteria. Life Time Fitness does a better job than any other gym I know of to maintain the water related areas as well as possible, maintaining proper pH and chlorine levels and completely draining and cleaning one or the other of the two whirlpools regularly. Locker rooms, showers and grooming areas are well maintained. The personal trainers and classes are top-notch and many group classes are free to attend with your membership. While the personal training is a little expensive, it is all relative and the results made the time I contracted with my trainers more than justified the results. I just need to be realistic and take the lessons learned and incorporate them into a permanent lifestyle. If this is a challenge, they do offer great TEAM classes to keep you motivated and in-shape.

We go to Lifetime Fitness. I was there last night. They have a really nice kids center and that is why we go. It's a nice facility but it's pricey. The thing that stands out is the fact that they have one.

She goes to the gym all the time. They also have salon services. My wife said her experience was good. My wife likes the convenience and good services.

I pay $108 per month for two people since 2006. It is an excellent facility. The only drawback I have is that some of their physical training staff could be a little bit more social.

We both belong to Lifetime Fitness. It it clean and there is plenty of room, you aren't cramped. They have wonderful Yoga classes. I love it. My husband works out but this gives him the flexibility. To me that's wonderful. They have all kinds of things. They even have some things for kids and their swimming things are fun. They have bicycles in the pool, they do all kinds of things. It's really a good place. They have a hair and nail salon that I also use. They have a great little coffee shop. It's one stop shopping.

Lifetime Fitness does not care about their members. They only care about profit, and sorely lack in
customer service. I paid for personal swim
lessons for over a year to learn swim techniques in order to build stamina/endurance. There were a few quality instructors, but most
were mediocre, and didn’t engage themselves in the lessons.
There was extraordinarily high turnover of quality employees,
leaving us with persons of the lowest quality.
On a number of occasions, I would show up for lessons only to find the instructor
absent, and that classes were cancelled without prior notification. Lifetime does not offer reimbursements for cancelled
lessons and instead, offer makeup lessons.
Lifetime does not reserve lanes for adult group lessons and
many times we would have to wait for a lane to become available for us to
swim. This often interfered with our
lesson, cutting them short. Lessons were
never extended to offset the time lost. When
a lane became available, adults would have to share since dedicated lanes were
not offered for group lessons. Many
times people got hurt by kicking one another or scraping toes and hands on the
lane dividers. It was bloody and painful
on waterlogged skin.
When I finally addressed my frustrations with the aquatics
department supervisor, all I received was indifference and attitude. I cancelled my lessons, but I’m stuck with
paying for another month due to their 30 day cancellation policy.

They are excellent and I will highly recommend them to anybody. I have been going there for 3 years. If something goes wrong, like water goes out or hot water water goes out then they are very good about emailing me on that. They are very good at keeping their customers up-to-date pretty regularly. The staff is really good. They are really friendly and they are very service oriented. I had varieties of gym membership over the years and I will rate them as the best.
