I have been a customer of Golden Retrieval for more than 20 years! They are wonderful people and exceptionally professional. The service is provided according to you and your pet's needs. They are reliable and the service is definitely priced right. After all this time, I don't know what I would have done without them to keep my yard clean without any worries at all. The monthly billing for yard cleanup is convenient. They also provide pet-sitting services. I have not needed this service in the past but I would not hesitate to call them if the need arises. WONDERFUL--as always ;)  Mindy & Dave have helped us out for well over a year now.  We are very happy we discovered their company when we moved to the Copper Canyon area!  They are fine folks, take a definite interest in the animals, and always ask if there are any updates or special needs for our pets. They send us pictures of the pets so we can see them while we're traveling.  They are very responsive, dependable and professional. Recommend them highly!!

They are so wonderful!  I highly recommend David and Mindy for dog walking.  They are thoroughly professional and reliable, and really pleasant people to work with.  David and Mindy came to meet our dog, Maggie, for an initial visit.  During that visit, they asked me about my goals, got acquainted with our skittish doggie, and explained their certifications, pricing, and the fact that the company is certified, bonded, and insured (a huge plus!).  Because Maggie is so fearful of everyone (especially men), they came for 3 "practice walks" before we went out of town.  They were so patient and gentle with our girl that they earned her trust, and everything went great.  They walked her in the AM and at bedtime, and they also made a shorter mid-day visit to let her out in the back yard and play with her a bit.  When I got home Maggie's toys were lined up along the kitchen wall, so that she had an assortment to choose from.  Those little touches show me that Golden Retrieval really cares about their doggie clients.  They texted me a picture of my happy girl out on a walk with Mindy that really put my mind at ease.  We came home to a happy girl and no messes.  I was so comforted by the fact that this is their business (not just a hobby) and they are members of several pet sitter professional organizations, they are certified in pet CPR, and they have pet insurance in case of accidents/bites.  Worth every penny and I look forward to using them again.  I know Maggie will be happy to see them.  

They are fabulous! It's a husband and wife team - "mature" people - who show up on time and give my dog all the love, care and affection he needs. And he needs a lot! I would recommend this service to anyone who needs daily weekday visits to their home for care for a dog or dogs. Love Dave and Mindy, and so does Monte!

I hired David to come in, feed the boys, tend to their litter box, and play with them and give them attention. He would come both in the morning and in the evening to care for them. He would text me when he was at the house caring for them. He would sometimes send me a couple of pictures showing them eating their meal or playing with a favorite toy. It made me feel better knowing when he was there, and getting those pics of the boys often made my day when I was away from them. His price is very fair and reasonable for his professionalism and the level of care he gives my pets. Compared to the similar total cost to have them boarded for the week where they would be couped up 22 hours a day in a kennel cage, this was a far better option for me. I will continue to call on him when I need pet sitting most definitely!

Always an excellent job

It was such a relief to go on vacation and know that all of my pets were well taken care of. They were even able to work with my nippy dog who does not like to go outside to potty! I will most certainly use this company again.

Great.  He was always there when he said he would be.  He was great with the dog when she was out with him.  He arrived on the day he said he would be there, did what he came to do and sent me the bill on a monthly basis.  I highly recommend his service!

Dave comes to clean our yard once a week.  With four dogs, this type of service can be pretty expensive.  Dave's rate is extremely competitive and he does a very reliable, thorough job.  This is definitely money well spent!

We have used them for probably 10 years. We have a Great Dane and he used to be Dave The Pooper Scooper and now he's Golden Retrieval Pet Services. He does an excellent job and is always there. We had a dog who had hurt himself that he took care of while we were out of town. He called us and told us what was going on with the dog and Dave is just great. We get a special rate because we've been with him for 10 years and I'm not sure what he's charging now but I think it's reasonable. He's real compassionate because we thought our dog Elvis who was 13 had injured his neck, which he did occasionally, but it was actually his back and he kept us informed on what was going on with him and unfortunately the next week we had to put him down. I couldn't ask for anybody better than Dave and he does a great job. I saw his ad in the paper six months after we moved here in 2001 and we've been using him ever since.

I can't say enough positive things about David Polvado and his pet sitting services.  I have been using Goldern Retrieval now for over 3 years.  David is punctual, reliable, and has never let me down!  The best thing is that my little boxer girl absolutely loves him!  I have recommended him to my friends.
David comes to my house almost every single day around lunch.  He takes my boxer for a walk, makes sure she drinks water, gives her a treat and puts her back in her crate.  He even leaves me a note every day letting me know how it went.  He also sends me a monthly invoice which is super convenient.  I would recommend his services to anyone in the Lewisville/Flower Mound area.

They are great and we have been using them for a long time!!  We have older dogs and they come to OUR house to let them out.  They also come weekly to pooper scoop.   They do such a good job it's like you never even know they were there. 

I have been using Golden Retrieval Pet Services for over 10 years on a weekly basis.  I had 2 medium sized dogs starting out and wanted to be sure my yard stayed neat and clean.  Scooper Dave has come every week without fail.  He bills on a monthly basis and the service is very reasonably priced.  I now have one small dog and I need service only every other week.  So Dave adjusted my monthly charges and continues to come to clean my yard twice a month.  He is very familiar with pet care and, when one of my dogs became ill, he let me know what he had observed so that I could get the proper vet care for her.  When my 2 dogs died, Dave acknowledged our loss with a heartfelt card of remembrance.  I appreciate the wonderful customer service provided by this small, locally owned and operated company.  This is one service I would not do without.
